Review about service is in my friends words who went inside to pick up while i waited in car.
She was impressed by the Greek Hospitality of the owner who told her about the famous Greek Dishes and contents. The owner was so genuinely happy to serve and looked cheerful.
Chicken Souvlaki : Great juicy taste and tender . Rice:Puffy and delicious. Potatoes : Soft with a hint of lemon .Tasted great as well.
Pastitsio : Scrumptious and it melts in your mouth. Not just the Beef and potato filling but the pasta as well. This was the best tasting greek dish i have ever tasted.
Salad : Tasted so fresh and complemented everything else .Topped with the word famous feta cheese which never has tasted this good.
Owner suggested to pour olive oil on the salad which made it even better and for the Souvlaki ,the Tzatziki Sauce .
The portions were generous and even with some stuff left on my plate , i was so full. Now we will have to go back and try their Mousakka.
Must visit for people who are into Greek Cuisine or just regular food because their food has homemade feeling...
Read moreMama's is truly a HIDDEN GEM! If you love Greek food like I do then you have to meet Vangeli and Vivian at Mama's. I've tried them all.. from Floga to Mister and Cathy's to Jimmy and by far Mama's is the way to go for Greek food. The best part is you're paying less for better quality and than paying more for that commercial frozen nonsense. I guess you just have to be Greek to know what Greek food is good or the fact that it's a "Greek" Mom and Pop Shop offering HOMEMADE AUTHENTIC TRADITIONAL GREEK FOOD for all those lucky greek food lovers nearby! I'm obviously Greek so we tend to be tough food cridicts in general but when it comes to real Greek cuisine then Mama's will NOT disappoint. My wife and I pretty much tried everything on their menu and we were both beyond pleased everytime. We are definitely hooked and am now a there at least 3 times a week so yah there you go, you're hidden gem, Mama's. Thank you very much to Vivian and Vangeli for offering myself and their lucky community with wholesome and delicious Greek food...
Read moreTL;DR Small industrial takeout spot; kind, direct service; flavorful but small-portioned chicken souvlaki, pairs well with tzatziki; textured but bland potatoes and rice; flavorless, bitter salad with oily dressing and yellow leaves.
Location: Small location in a bit of an industrial setting but that's okay, it's more of a take out place anyways.
Services: The worker was kind enough, straight to the point.
Food: I got the chicken Souvlaki dinner. Chicken was soft, seasoned well. Not overwhelming but obvious good flavour. The pieces are pretty small though, so 5 pieces isn't enough, more like 3 or 3.5 of a regular big piece. Pairs well with tzatziki or it might be a bit dry
Potatoes have a nice texture, with a bit of hardness on the outside and soft on the inside but no flavour.
Rice is the same story, good texture, oily but no flavour
-Salad sucked. Half a tomato. No flavour but bitter. Dressing is almost purely oil, no taste. The leaves were...
