I took my 2 children for dinner today. One wanted a chicken nugget happy meal and one wanted a jr chicken meal. I ordered a single toy so my second child would have one and I was refused. When I asked why I was told that I would need to purchase a happy meal if I want a toy. I asked since when? And they said a few months now. A manager was there so I asked why I couldn’t purchase a single happy meal toy. The manager said when their toy stock is low they don’t sell them because they need them for the happy meals. I asked the manager to show me where it says that in their policy because I feel like they’re refusing my business and they didn’t. When the food was served it wasn’t put on a tray to eat in and the apple juice for the children were visibly not full. When I asked why the cups were not filled they said that they didn’t have anymore small juice cups so they put it in the small soft drink cups but it’s the proper amount. I asked them to fill the cup up and they refused. Then I had to explain to the kids why their drinks are not full and only one toy. On McDonald website it says you can buy toys without purchasing a happy meal. Also the drink station looked like a disaster and there were very dirty tables with previous customers garbage left for a long period of time. Do better McDonald’s!

EDIT: So it has been 3 days now since I ate here and I have food poisoning. I'm not sure if it was their chicken or the lettuce (there was a recall on lettuce) but I've been vomiting for 3 days. I will NEVER be eating here again. I grew up with this location and have never had any issues for the 20+ years. Avoid this location if it can be helped, especially at night! Grabbed a McChicken last night around 11:30pm and it was incredibly dry with almost no mayo on it. Thank god I had a drink with it because I could barely swallow it. I knew something was off with it too because i was sick in the morning and am still sick. This location at night is absolutely awful. 2 years later and now they can't even get orders right. Had to order online for pickup and I'm missing something from my order. I'm not sure what it is about this location but it just always finds a way to let me down.

Pretty great place but today I asked for a Big Mac extra pickles and half sauce, the order taker thought I said hab sauce (which obviously stands for habanero sauce duh everybody knows that, I’m the stupid one) so I come home to eat and my box says habanero sauce so I eat it and it is just LOADED UP WITH MORE SAUCE IVE EVER SEEN ON A BURGER (it looks like macaroni and cheese) so I eat it and it’s pretty spicy but the taste I just don’t like habanero sauce mixed with Big Mac sauce not a great combo but overall McDonald’s will always be my number one food. If I was on death row, this is my final meal

I have been coming to this McDonald's for about 22 years now and I've seen and experienced a lot. However, this morning I experienced the height of disrespect 😤 After paying and confirming my order at the pick up window I drove off with my order... prior to leaving with my order I asked the young lady at the pick up window to confirm my order and she did I told her that I smelt egg (which I'm allergic to) and she said "no it's a chicken McGriddle. After reaching to my place of work which is not far from the McDonald's I opened up the packaged chicken McGriddle combo to find a Sasauge egg muffin. After returning back to the McDonald's to return what wasn't my order I told the employee that I wanted a refund and that I wanted what I ordered. She went and got the "Manager" with the name on her tag "Rita". Rita approached the cash register slowly and in no particular rush, without looking at me or asking me what the situation was began the refund process. I asked her, " what were you told about this order". She then said that the employee said that I wanted a refund. I then said to Rita that I wanted a refund in lieu of the inconvenience and incompetence and that I wanted what I ordered. Rita then asked "what did you order?". It is this interaction that was the start of a very disrespectful and audacious encounter! I responded by saying that I ordered a chicken McGriddle combo. Typing things into the register grunting and looking annoyed she asked me a second time... "what did you order?" I responded "as I said, I ordered a chicken McGriddle combo"... she then asked me if I wanted a refund and I repeated myself by saying "Yes, I want a refund for what I was charged and then... I wanted to leave with the food I ordered, if I have to pay for that at this point I will". Rita: "what did you order"? At this point I looked behind me in disbelief that she is still unclear of what my situation is, and then the unthinkable happened... Rita: "WHAT DID YOU ORDER"? in a loud shout. I responded by saying "Do Not Shout at Me" with a shocked look on my face! She then went on to say "you were shouting at me, which was a damn lie... annoyed, slightly frustrated ABSOLUTELY but shouting No! I repeated my order for her a third time, she refunded me my money and my food was replaced without charge. Now.... this is a manager who has been with McDonald's for as long as I've been going to this location she knows who I am because she seen me several times before. We are all going through life's ups and downs just as she may be having a bad day etc so might I. She is very lucky that I was the one she was disrespecting and not someone with a less moral standard. Be careful how you speak to people. Be respectful especially in the field of customer service. Customers are NOT always right but they are paying their money!

I would have given this experience...

Consistently the slowest drive through I experience next to Tim Hortons.

Edit: Its been 2 years since this review and they've done a major renovation and are still the slowest drive through I've ever experienced. They will take an order at the speaker, have the person drive up, pay get their stuff and leave before they will talk to the next car in line. Its like they can't grasp the idea of more than one order at a time. Last week at 6:30am I pulled in to the drive through with one car ahead of me. It was 3 minutes before they spoke to him and he pulled ahead. I pulled up, they said one moment please and it was 4 minutes before they got back to me and had me pull up. Normally I would have left (you can get out of this drive through) but I stayed out of morbid curiosity to see how long it would take. I pass this location on my way to work and won't stop unless the drive through is empty. Also they sneakily raise their prices a tiny bit every couple of months by a few cents. I've noticed they are 10 to 15 cents higher in identical meals at other locations around the city.

Edit #2: I tried the mobile order and pick up today. I immediately regret that decision. I entered my order and parked and noted my parking spot in the app. 10 minutes later I was still waiting. I had to go in to find out what was taking so long for a chicken nugget happy meal and two diet cokes. My order was just sitting on the shelf. I have no idea how long it would have been had I not gone inside. Despite how slow the drive through is, it would have been faster than the mobile order.

I must be some kind of glutton for punishment as I keep going here thinking it's going...

Keep in mind, this review of the McDonald's location is time specific. I went on a weekday, shortly after 9am so the atmosphere was very different vs. other times of the day (see other commenters below). When I went, there were elderly patrons drinking coffee and having a good ol' chat together. This is likely not the case at other times of the day when it's busier and more hectic.

If I could, I would give an overall rating of 2.5/5 but I can't give half stars so this place gets a 2. During this time frame, there was nothing overall offensive or annoying or terrible. It was just 'there'. Staff were there, I ordered my coffee and breakfast and left. I didn't eat there. Took my food home, nothing was burnt and it just tasted like your standard McDonald's breakfast. Notably, by the time I got home, the hash brown is not at its finest but that's a given. It didn't taste like old oil and the McMuffin tasted fine. It was just fine.

I'll be honest, if I didn't have the coupon for a breakfast combo, I wouldn't have bothered to go at all. It was fine for the promo price but it's certainly not something I'd trek all the way there to eat especially given that the environment changes so drastically depending on the time you go. I certainly would never go during peak hours.

If McDonald's really wants to do different, they'll change their operations but until then, I'm going to go where the service, environment, and...
