Finally made it to Nuttea after having it bookmarked for a long time!

They open at 9 AM on weekdays, and I visited around 11:30 AM. I was the only customer at the time, making for a quick and efficient experience.

I already knew what I wanted and ordered the Matcha with Nut Cream. They let you customize the ice and sugar levels. I went with normal ice and less sugar, which turned out to be the perfect balance.

One unique touch is the cute little instructions they provide on how to enjoy the drink. Following their recommendation, I used the small wooden shovel to taste the nut cream first. It was thick, nutty, and had a slight saltiness, which I really enjoyed. At first, I expected the drink to be heavy, but the matcha itself was quite light and watery. Mixing the two together created a perfect balance and enhanced the overall flavor. While the matcha isn’t the highest quality or the strongest I’ve had which is evidenced by the color, it still had a pleasant flavor. I also loved the crushed nuts on top and wouldn’t mind if they added even more!

My visit was short (about 5 minutes), and I appreciated the clean, minimalist decor and friendly service. Paid street parking is available.

Can’t wait to return and try more from their menu! I love the unique, plant-based concept of this place. I also noticed they have an online ordering system, which was helpful for checking the menu in advance.

Would definitely recommend giving Nuttea a try!

Update: I couldn't resist returning to Nuttea to try their Biscoff Coffee with Nut Cream and it did not disappoint. While the matcha was good, this one absolutely blew me away. The biggest issue I usually have with Biscoff coffees is that they lack enough cookie butter flavor, but this version was bold without being overly sweet. The nut cream complemented the caramel notes perfectly, enhancing the richness of the drink while adding a creamy, velvety texture. Compared to the Matcha with Nut Cream, this one was heavier and felt more like a dessert but it was well worth it.

Side note, when you leave a Google Review, they offer 15% off. I did this but they forgot to punch in the discount and I also didn't realize until I left. I'll have to ask about it the next time I visit again.

They also offer...

Cute little vegan cafe in downtown Koreatown. I came in because I am lactose intolerant and miss having milky bubble tea and seeing that they had non-dairy options was a major draw for me (Chatime has oat milk but it really doesn't taste the same as real milk).

There are a number of drink options, ranging from fruity drinks to coffee-based to tea-based drinks. I highly recommend the nut cream in any drink where you want a creamy taste and texture. There is a regular cream and a chocolate nut cream option but I find that the chocolate nut cream was quite good in the earl grey tea.

If you order a drink with nut cream, the staff give you a little wooden spoon to help you try the cream on its own. The cream is thick (similar to whipped cream) but it doesn't readily melt into a drink unless it's mixed. The chocolate nut cream has a bit of a salty taste to it, which helps it go well with tea or coffee drinks.

The drinks are a bit more pricey ($7-9 which doesnt include additions like tapioca) but there's definite quality in these drinks. The nut cream is very smooth (barely any small particles of nut pieces) and I assume that the smoothness is probably very labour intensive to make so I can understand why the prices are higher. My partner tried one of their strawberry drinks and we could tell that it was made with real strawberries so we definitely appreciate the higher quality of the drinks.

There are about 5 tables in the cafe so you can sit and drink if there's space. They also offer a stamp card / loyalty card which is nice.

Overall, Nuttea is a welcome option in the area. While there are a lot of bubble tea options in KTown, there's not many that offer good non-dairy options that aren't simply just plain teas/coffees or fruit based teas. Nuttea has definitely become my go-to place because I miss having milky drinks and Nuttea has an entire menu that I can enjoy without worrying about stomach...

Avoiding milk and still craving bubble tea? Here's an answer! Hoping to try a unique take on bubble tea made with plant-based nut mylk, we visited NUTTEA Toronto (637 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON M6G 1K8). A delicious bubble tea chain with locations in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, England, Australia, Singapore, halland, and Canada, this cate has been making its way all across the world, ensuring that plant-based bubble tea makes its way to the palates of some of the most discerning foodies! We started out our menu sampling with a delicious Matcha with Nut Cream - with the earthy matcha flavours blending with the rich, creamy essence of the nut cream, the drink was robust yet enchanting, offering a uniquely flavourful drink. The Oolong Nut Mylk served as a palate cleanser, with the soft brown sugar tapioca pearls offering a filling substance even though our sampling consisted entirely of drinks, while the Pure Nut Mylk (concentrate sold in bulk by the business) helped us get an insight into why the plant-based beverages were so delicious! However, our favourites were the Strawberry Nut Mylk and Chocolate Hazelnut Nut Latte. The strawberry nut mylk smoothie offered a refreshing blend of sweet, vibrant flavours and wholesome goodness, while the heavenly chocolate hazelnut nut latte reminded me of a Nutella-based dish, with the heavenly chocolate meshing well with the toasty hazelnut flavours. If you're looking for a bubble tea flavour to 'go nuts' over, NUTTEA has you covered! With multiple locations and even more flavours offered, this place is sure to be your plant-based haven. Deliciously recommended!
