Wonderful fish and seafood shop just south of Yonge and Summerhill. It will smell a bit fishy and is slightly pricey given the location. Either the fish / seafood are fresh or it has a frozen section. The wall is adorned with many Japanese sauces and accompaniments. There is also a jam / confiture section, pre-packages sushi, homemade smoked salmon and other prepared foods. Easy to get lost in the store examining all the unique products they carry. Don't expect a selection as broad as Diana's Seafood. Their tuna and salmon are sashimi grade. Staff are helpful and friendly. They also give you a lemon to help with your prep! Good customer experience overall.

This is the closest place near me that I've found sushi grade salmon and tuna. Both the salmon and the tuna were super fresh and delicious as sushi.

There is an older gentleman (he may be a manager/owner) that works here who is not very friendly. Often, he's very stiff and comes off as rude which is unacceptable. I was in a couple of days ago, and he seemed like he didn't want to help and wanted to rush me out of there. I had asked the about a few items and he seemed very impatient explaining the products/pricing. This not the first time this man has acted this way when I've been in. I'm not sure if he dislikes his job, or if my questions were beyond his scope of knowledge. Either way, the interaction left me underwhelmed and disappointed.

I can understand the store is constantly busy and we're in a stressful time, but I felt very unwelcome and feel less inclined to return.

On a more positive note, the store is gorgeous, in a great location. The seafood is always fresh and there is a great selection. Other then the man discussed above, the staff seem very kind and are willing to move mountains for...

I went in the other day to look for “sushi-grade” salmon. Basically needed a very fresh cut so it can be consumed raw as well. I asked a guy there if they had it available and was told all of the salmon fillers are fresh and can be eaten raw. Well that was a lie. Though they were still edible, the quality was not high enough to be consumed raw. Not sure about other products, but was very disappointed at the level of knowledge which employees here had...
