This Korean cafe makes the prettiest drinks and desserts. Each dessert and drink is inspired by Asian-favorites and made in-house every day.

When you first see the cafe it's very minimalistic. Once you head downstairs you'll see that it's part cafe and part art gallery making it very unique.the art installations change from time to time to highlight local artists.

There's a good selection of drinks and desserts here which can be accessed by scanning a QR code at cash. I got the Jeju romance tea which is a mix of white tea, pomelo, orange and yuzu. I found it to he quite refreshing and well balanced. My friend ordered the strawberry matcha latte which had fresh strawberry puree making the layers and colours stand out. The barista put a lot of care and intention into making our drinks. The drinks are a little pricey but well worth it!

If you're not in a rush, be sure to grab a seat and admire the art and this place is also great for people watching. Everyone who comes in is very stylish and you might make some fur friends too as this place is...

Went with my husband to Playground Cafe for our holiday. As it was our first time there, and - probably the last ... we just weren't very impressed. One customer - or I'm not sure if it was the owner - had a very loud call going on in the room. She was screaming through the "meeting," / video call she had, the entire time. I'm pretty sure the standard noise from a cafe would of been fine but this lady was literally screaming really loudly and didn't know how to tone her voice down, despite my very British attitude was sticking its nose out. I'm pretty sure she's a "lovely person," in general but needs to have some common sense about the level of noise to make in a business.

The drinks? The sweet potato latte tasted more like a soup. Drinks where bland and really won't be coming back a second time, thank you very much. I also got some Jeju tea thing and didn't remember the taste at all. Without the screaming lady, the place would of got 3.5 stars at best, if I need to be honest. But she really destroyed the whole experience for me with...

INCREDIBLE space with such a unique atmosphere. First, staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everyone had radiating energy, we enjoyed an incredible talk with the owner - she is SO inspiring and so lovely. It was a real pleasure to chat with her and learn more about her vision.

Love the fusion of coffee, dessert, art, fashion and atmosphere here. There is no place like this in Toronto — we also don’t have any underground/basement coffee shops. Truly a unique experience, everything is aesthetically pleasing and picture worthy. It was like entering another realm.

We were also greeted by their bulldog, Boba! She is so sweet and it was a pleasant surprise. We had iced coffee, melon tea, white rabbit and ube macarons, and their custard treat. Everything tasted INCREDIBLE, everything was so delicious. The white rabbit macaron was so unique and exciting to try out!!

10/10 - definitely check this place out! Can’t wait to visit again soon! It’s a beautiful space with welcoming friendly faces and a warm vibey atmosphere you won’t find...

Unassuming tea and coffee cafe with relaxing lounging music in the basement of a mixed use building on parliament. The decor is like a modern art gallery with concrete floors, open ceiling, and white stools. The drinks are a special take on espresso, serving Calgary's Phil and Sebastian's espresso grounds. I was initially reluctant to get a fruit infused espresso, but was pleasantly surprised with a Strawberry iced latte, with a strawberry based coulis on the bottom of a latte. Service was friendly. Has a selection of baked goods with a Filipino flair, such as cassava cake. I went with a standard croissant, nothing special. Overall: Cool underground cafe to spend your afternoon if you want to hang out with relaxing vibes and try out new drinks. Lattes are cheaper than other independent coffee places. Will probably go back because I like Phil and Sebastian's grounds.

Modern cafe with a calming atmosphere. This is my second time at the cafe. The first time I came for an event which was extraordinary. It showcased the talents of young artists and gave them lots of recognition. The second time I came, my friend and I ordered the romance tea and matcha latte. For our pastry, we had the chocolate ball and ube cookie. I wasn't a huge fan of the matcha latte so I asked for a latte with caramel syrup instead which was divine. Both of the guys who were behind the counter were accomdating and very kind! In addition, we also tried a croffle (thanks Estelle!!). It was presented beautifully and tasted like a funnel cake! Highly recommended; minimalist decor and excellent customer service. Also the unique menu makes this place stand out. FYI-Parking lot is available nearby and free 1 hour parking is also available.
