I have been a loyal customer for years but now will find a new sushi place. The complete lack of customer service and unwillingness to accommodate is the breaking point for me. I've recently developed some food sensitives, including a sensitivity to salmon. I asked in my last visit if I could have a substitution for a salmon sushi that was part of a combo deal, and they said it was impossible to do that. They were completely unwilling to work with me, especially as someone who has been a loyal customer and has come there bi-weekly for the past couple of years! The experience felt somewhat humiliating. My recent increase in digestive issues has been a huge problem for me and I would think that my favorite restaurant would at least try to work with me so I could try to have a normal experience. While I like the sushi, the customer service and unwillingness to accommodate dietary needs has been so off-putting that I don't feel right spending my money...

I have ordered from Kibo takeout countless times and never been disappointed, however their in restaurant service is much to be desired. Stopped in for a beer and a bite to eat today … was seated … ordered and received my beer … and then the entire staff went on a break. A party of 5 actually came in and were turned away because they were all going on break. With that, nobody came back to take our order either. No body came to check on us. However the entire staff sat behind us in the restaurant eating and having a great conversation. After 20 minutes I finally got up, commented that obviously since we weren’t being served further, that we needed our bill and we left … with NO TIP given. I can’t understand how restaurants who have been through so much lately because of COVID are turning away patrons and not even providing service to the ones they actually have.
