We stopped at the Red Lobster on Dufferin St. Sunday Oct 20, 2024 at 4:30. The restaurant was not busy, however, this location definitely needs a restaurant upgrade, especially the carpets and the booths. That being said our server was great. Kept checking with us to make sure we had refills on our drinks and refills on our biscuits. In regards to the food we had hit and misses with our meal. The crab Queso dip was runny and the chips tasted stale. The cheddar bay biscuits were hot but a little under cooked. Needed to be in the oven a little longer. We ordered 2 meals shrimp your way 3 choices. Both meals we ordered Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, sweet chili shrimp and Garlic Shrimp. These items were hot and fresh, however the Linguini looked more like spaghetti than linguini still hit the spot. The sweet chili shrimp does have a nice heat kick to it. The garlic shrimp was nice and hot. The garlic sauce for the shrimp was well done, one meal we had the mashed potatoes which were on point and the other meal we had the rice which was a little undercooked and sticky for my liking. For dessert we had the warm apple crostada and the chocolate wave. Both desserts were on point. Large servings (a little pricey) but you will not be disappointed. Over all the meal was good, not fantastic but good. Had we not ordered our meal after the appetizers we would have left. Glad we stayed for the actual meal that made up for the appetizers. Not sure if we will return to Red Lobster or just this location at this point.

Growing up, this is the location I always go to since it’s not far from where I live and it never disappoints, including the food! I’ve had great service including one poor service there, but last night probably had the BEST customer service I have ever experienced at Red Lobster alone. Saturday, March 1, 2025, we made reservations for 6:45 given that this place would be packed on a Saturday night and it was! We’ve never been to Red Lobster on a Saturday night before and it was great to see people supporting a chain that almost went bankrupt. Okay, the food never ceases to amaze me. While I’m not a seafood person, I like their other options including their chicken fingers and fries, which was what I ordered. My mom ordered the Lobster dinner. Of course, we both enjoyed our meals. Even though I forgot his name, our server was EXCELLENT as well! He was very passionate, professional and caring the entire time we were there. The famous biscuits he served were also just freshly baked and they were yummy! For my dessert, I got the chocolate wave, however I opted to have it later so we requested take out for that and another box of biscuits. He was really kind enough to pack the cake and ice cream separately and told me to warm it when I got home. When I did that, it tasted exactly how I wanted it. The customer service was 10/10; we gave our server a good tip. I really enjoyed my experience last night at the location I’ve been going to since I was little.

The Red Lobster at this area surely ISN’T my favorite. Not sure if it was just a bad first impression, but I didn’t enjoy the majority of my meals. First off I had a Ultimate plate of seafood. Though when it came, there were only 2 bowls of shrimp(about 5 in each bowl) floating in oil, and a small lobster tail(singular), along with some thin crab legs, and broccoli. We also ordered a side of zucchini “zoodles,” but somehow they were also drowned in oil. Not saying this Is their fault, but the menu presents items as larger than they actually are, or in larger quantities, and certainly didn’t show any access oils. When we were near close to leaving, I’d decided to get a whole lobster, because I didn’t think you could mess up boiling seafood. The food itself tasted, okay, nothing with extreme, amazing flavor, just bland. But I kid you not, for the $40 I spent, the lobster was pretty small. If you want to imagine it, lay your hand out, and measure the distance from your ring finger, to your thumb(diagonally, from each point/tip) the waitress (Her name is Crystal) was amazing, and while that’s a plus, not many people return to a restaurant for only good waiters them self. There items once again are pretty much kid sized, and can’t fill the average adult. My day was spent mostly enjoying their biscuits, and soda. If you want a MUCH better, and filling alternative, take yourself to Captain Boil( I really like the one located in the Vaughan area)

Having been a dedicated patron of Red Lobster, I am appalled to share my dismay about the recent shocking news concerning the Red Lobster location at 3200 Dufferin St. This once shining beacon of seafood dining has evidently plummeted, failing miserably in its basic obligation towards maintaining food safety and hygiene.

Ten infractions were noted by Toronto Public Health in their latest inspection – a stark contrast to their previous inspection records. A single crucial infraction of failing to protect food from contamination is abominable, to say the least. To add insult to injury, there were also five significant violations, including a negligent disregard for equipment cleanliness and an alarming indifference to pest breeding.

Minor infractions also piled up, revealing a lackadaisical approach to the sanitary conditions of the food-handling room. The walls, floors, and the very space where our beloved seafood dishes are prepared were found to be inadequately clean and maintained. In an era when cleanliness should be of paramount concern, these violations are not only disappointing, they are downright alarming.

Equally concerning is the fact that this restaurant was given a 'conditional pass' and continues to operate. The Red Lobster brand and its franchisees owe it to their patrons to ensure a safe, clean dining experience - a commitment they have evidently failed to uphold at the 3200 Dufferin St. location.

In light of these glaring issues, I urge fellow diners to reconsider your choice. It is disheartening to think that an establishment we have trusted and loved can compromise our health and safety in such a manner. I am awarding a singular star in this review, representing a profound disappointment and a plea for immediate rectification.

I sincerely hope Red Lobster takes immediate action to rectify these issues, restoring our faith in their commitment to excellent food served in a safe and hygienic environment. Until then, my advice to potential customers is to seek a safer, cleaner alternative where your health is not placed...

After a long time, I chose that restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Food was tasty. No complaints Only inconvenience was the server. She was not professional and sarcastic I ordered the lobster menu that comes with lobster tail, shrimps and crab. I was annoyed by her checking my table unnecessarily, making nasty comments such as , do you need more time eating, she even told me, that she doesn't waste time eating like I do as she is at the metropolitan university studying business and working at the same time. She put me down on next occasion stating oh I didn't know you didn't know how to eat crab. I said I know but I like talking and eating, however, my partner is a fast eater. She kept coming and chatting with him. I asked her twice for a glass of water and she kept talking with my guest ignoring my water. She even told me that she's too busy to spend 2 hours in a restaurant like I did. I nicely told her that I was one time doing my degree and working at the same time. And she's not the only one doing it For the third time, I asked water, then she left to get it. But I was very annoyed and humiliated by her nasty comments that I regretted going there. My whole experience was not great. I told my partner and he said he noticed but he could not say anything and he kept talking about university to stop her from her nasty comments to give me me time to eat.

I don't think I will go back there to be humiliated again by that server who was not professional. I've bien to red lobster a lot in the past different locations but first time being humiliated by a server.

This server needs to mind her...
