I recently visited Scooped by Demetres in Toronto on a hot and humid summer evening, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with families, friends, and couples all enjoying their night out. The place had a charming vibe, filled with the cheerful hum of people savoring their ice cream and sharing good times.

The staff at Scooped by Demetres were exceptionally friendly and kind, adding to the overall pleasant experience. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with warm smiles and were eager to help me choose from their extensive menu of delectable ice cream flavors. Their enthusiasm was contagious, making the visit even more enjoyable.

I decided to try a cup with two scoops: Chocolate Cashmere and Dolce & Banana. The Chocolate Cashmere was incredibly rich and smooth, with a deep chocolate flavor that was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The Dolce & Banana was a delightful contrast, offering a creamy and slightly tangy banana taste with a hint of caramel that complemented the chocolate scoop wonderfully.

A special touch was their thoughtful inclusion of a puppy cone for my dog. This little gesture made the experience all the more memorable, as my furry friend happily licked away at his treat, clearly enjoying himself as much as I was.

Overall, Scooped by Demetres is a fantastic spot to visit, especially on a warm evening when you're looking to cool down with some high-quality ice cream. The combination of delicious flavors, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Toronto area looking for a sweet treat to end their day on...

This is definitely my favourite ice cream spot. My SO and always stop by to see what new flavours they came up with. We found the unusual flavours to be the best. Aside from the ice cream, I so love the waffles. Scoops has one of the best fresh made waffles I had ever tasted, the smell, taste and texture is always perfect. I always get two scoops with a waffle cone to satisfy my cravings.

I have never had a bad experience here, i am always greeted by smiling, friendly and very helpful staff that’s ready to answer every question or provide me with a sample of their new flavours.

This location is excellent for the summer time to enjoy their patio, a view of the CN tower or a walk in the parks close by with my waffle cone. There is also and canoe landing across the road and the music garden a few minutes walk away.

Update - thanks so much for your token of appreciation. I got the Cajeta Swirled Goat Cheese and omg its amazing. Definitely my new favourite flavour and ice cream stop ✋ 😋

We will definitely visit again soon and try more of your...

Not here to complain about the ice cream - the ice cream is amazing no doubt.

However, our experience is ruined by the rude staff.

I get it that it’s not a 5 star restaurant or any type of restaurant where you would expect stellar customer experience, it’s an ice cream shop I get it.

But this place is owned by Demetres and they have established a reputation of being a trusted place for families to go.

When I came with my family, and 3 kids btw, the kids are obviously going to be selective with what they want.

The flavours don’t even have any photos or any visual representation through a glass window to show the flavours which is why we would ask for samples of the flavour we want to try.

Every other ice cream place we’ve been to allows multiple flavour tests but we were told rudely and strictly it’s 2 per person.

Which is fine, but if you’re going to do that then at least have flavours which we can see.

Completely ruined our experience and the kids felt as if they asked for too much even though we are paying for our ice cream at the...

Love this place for the amazing variety of ice creams and spacious seating. It’s quite a huge place but still up to capacity in summers mostly. There is great view of CN tower (but slightly obstructed now due to construction). Fabulous place to treat yourself and enjoy the hustle bustle of canoe landing.

The first thing that grabs your attention is the unique design of the store. It’s not fancy or high-end, but it stands out and definitely makes you want to check it out as you walk by. Once you’re inside, it can feel a bit confusing at first. The space is relatively large, and the counter is tucked over to the right. There’s no display or visual of the flavors, just a simple menu board above the cashier. You basically just pick a flavor from the board and place your order. I would’ve appreciated a bit more clarity or explanation on the menu. Since they don’t offer many of the usual flavors like chocolate or berry, you end up having to ask the staff what each item actually is and how it compares to something more familiar. It’s clear they’re trying to do something different, bringing their own spin to ice cream, which I respect. The ice cream itself tasted good, not too sweet, and nothing off about the flavour. But honestly, it didn’t blow me away. It was solid, just not something I’d call unforgettable.
