My first time experience is real horrible and I'm so disappointed by the service, we had the worst server ever and I'm not sure if this is her first job. I'm not trying to be rude but you can't be this incompetent and Have an attitude at the same time when people are bringing things to your attention. Not only did she get the order wrong when I ordered a mac and cheese with lobster but I was also double charged. The first time around The server (Steph) brought out a side of lobster, which I then told her it was supposed to be a mac and cheese with lobster, not a side of lobster at the table. My daughter also ordered sides of bacon and sausage from the very beginning, and it was NEVER brought to the table, and once we brought that to our server's attention there was still some attitude and asking us if she still wanted it (because she forgot to punch it into POS system). Not once that are server check on the table to see how things were going with all the mistakes that were made and never came around to mention last call for drinks.... Which was highly disappointing because I would have loved a second drink to have with my meal. I also received my food before I received cutlery, and because the server never checked on us I had to get up myself and ask another server for cutlery. We had another server check on us once which I then expressed it's nice that someone came around to see how we're doing with our meal, and also asked for extra syrup and sauce (I'm not exaggerating when I say our server did not check on us once) but overall just disappointed in the experience. I'm disappointed in the experience but to find out that I was double charged is what upsets me even more because our server could not get anything right and it's upsetting that I had to share this with my daughter and friends. We all work in the hospitality industry and appreciate the service that is usually provided but in this case, all of us at the table were highly annoyed of how we were treated. Not being acknowledged by your server and multiple times of trying to get her attention is a little degrading, hence why I felt the other server...
Read moreProbably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service is terrible and unorganized. Waited 35 minutes to have a call that our table was available. Once we got to the restaurant we were told they would just need to clean the table. At the 15 minute mark, we started to get a little antsy because we had assumed that our table was free just had to be clean. We had servers walking back-and-forth, letting us know that our table would be available soon. We were waiting outside in the cold. At the 20 minute mark, we ask one of the servers or hostess we had a table that was available. You guys called us and told us it was available and said that we only had to wait for it to be cleaned. We later found out that there were still people sitting at the table they had asked for their check and a to-go box, but they were still there. We told the server that it didn’t make any sense for them to call us if people were still sitting at the table because we were told that the table only had to be cleaned. She told us (with an attitude) that they do it differently here and they typically call people when people ask for the check just in case it takes you some time to get to your table, which I completely understand, but typically they wait for that table to leave or at least gather their stuff before contacting the next person waiting so there isn’t any overlap. As we were proceeding to leave, she then told us that she was now telling her manager to tell those people that they had to leave and now give us the table. This whole situation was so unorganized and put a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to the service here, it does not make sense to call a table that has already waited 35 minutes to then tell them to wait another 20 minutes because people are still sitting at that table. We ended up going elsewhere, but that was very disappointing because we waited essentially an hour for no reason and they didn’t have to call us if the table wasn’t available. They lied to us 🙄 definitely not going back and...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here for breakfast both mornings of our most recent stay in Toronto, and we can't recommend it enough. The food was divine, the servers were quick, attentive and friendly, and the outdoor patio was beautiful. On day 1 I ordered the wake & steak with home fries and caesar salad, with a cappuccino to drink, and my husband had the fried chicken & waffles with the cinnamon toast crunch cappuccino. I'm not typically a breakfast person, but holy s*. Everything was perfect. The steak was seasoned to the gods and cooked perfectly, (medium rare) the home fries were crispy yet soft and full of flavour, the poached eggs were bouncy and delicious, and the onions and mushrooms pulled everything together into ethereal breakfast harmony. The caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. My husband's chicken and waffles were not safe around me and I kept having to ask him for another bite because of how heavenly it was. I'm salivating a little thinking about it. Cappuccinos were both amazing and foamy with a very rich espresso flavour. Obviously we weren't finished after the first experience so we went back the next morning for round 2. I had the 4 cheese Mac with a side of home fries and smoked salmon, and my husband had the wake and steak because of how good mine was the day before. The Mac and cheese was ridiculously cheesy (as it should be) and so filling that I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. My smoked salmon unfortunately was so appetizing that a wasp decided to make friends with it (not the restaurant's fault at all, wasps suck) so I couldn't get more than a bite in, but the one bite I had was incredible. very smoky. My husband had the bailey's coffee and I had a regular coffee which were both impeccable in flavour and freshness. The only complaint I have is that we can't come back sooner, but I know where we'll be stopping every time we're in the city on future trips.10/10 ON EVERY FRONT WE LOVE...
