Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Toronto

I wish I could give this place 100 negative stars. Worst service I’ve ever encountered. When we first walked in we seen a bartender who was clearly already lit before her shift ended. When she finished she sat at the bar and continued drinking while the the other girl that was working was very tall skinny with piercings on her face got to busy talking to her and took forever and a day to just come over to us. Ordered a double vodka soda that didn’t taste like alcohol at all and was in a tall glass I did not asking for. I’ve worked this industry for a long time as a bartender and waitress. If the customer asks for a tall glass you give them one. Otherwise it’s always a short glass. Brought it over to her and told her and she just pored my non alcoholic drink into a short Glass that was full to the rim that it was spilling everywhere when I had to walk it back to my table. Had I had her bring it, she probably would have went to the potatoe farm and made it from scratch (what a joke). 10-20 minutes later she finally comes over and takes our order which was an order of fish and chips and chicken tenders. Finished our apps and waited another 20-25 minutes just for the food that never came. Best part of this rant is she finally comes over to us and takes our nacho plate and says “can I get you anything else”? We said ya our food, she said OK LET ME GET YOU SOME MENUS…menus first of all you took our plate of food and your going to get us menus? She goes back behind the bar and checks the POS system and I KNEW SHE DIDNT PUT IN OUR ORDER. waited another 10-15 minutes till we finally said let’s go. Manager in his green plaid shirt didn’t seem to care. We asked her is someone got In their boat to go catch the fish. What a joke ….. DO NOT EAT HERE OTHERWISE YOU WILL STARVE. What a way to ruin someone’s night who worked all day and was looking forward to a nice dinner with her man. 👏🏼 congrats on ur garbage service.

I’ll be shocked if this place lasts. HORRIBLE ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. Pay attention to your customers otherwise find...

In no way am I exaggerating when I say this is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. From the server to the manager every moment of my over 3 hour stay (no I am not over exaggerating) was intolerable. I went to Shoeless Joe’s yesterday August 21st, around 3:30pm with my family to celebrate my birthday and we didn’t leave until after 6:30. The restaurant was understaffed - at no fault to the server. She was busy with tables inside and outside on the patio and alone on bar. That being said, there was no communication with our table that the restaurant was understaffed and wait times would be longer than usual. We waited over an hour for drinks and our food to be ordered. Our food took 1.5 hours to be made and came out at different times. I was not even able to eat with my family as my food took over 30 minutes to come out after everyone else received theirs. The server did not even apologize about the wait or check in to see if our food tasted okay until we asked for the manager. It is the conversation with the owner that ensured my entire family that we will never be dining at a shoeless joes again. When I told the owner i was not happy with the perogies he shrugged and told me that people who like perogies like them, no apology or offer to remake them. When we told him we were dissatisfied with our experience he got angry with us because he had cut the servers for the day expecting it to be slow - as if it was our fault for his staffing mistakes. He didn’t offer anything to improve our experience, only excuses and anger and eventually- reluctantly may I add, he gave us a measly 10% discount on our bill of over $300. The lack of professionalism of this man, and lack of countability he is able to take is what caused my entire family to leave with a bad taste in our mouths. May I repeat, this is the worst restaurant experience any of us...

Last week Saturday my co workers and I decided to eat here after bowling. I wish we would have looked at the reviews before coming here. I can see why they have a 3.6. This was one of the worst experiences I had at a restaurant . The server wasn't pleasant. We would ask her a questions, she would answer an run off , not waiting for our response. Throughout the evening she hardly checked in on us , and we were not offered or given water. Next the food: The wait time to get our food was horrible. We waited for our food for a long time. We were a table of 8. The server came with 2 dishes, 15-20 mins 2 more dishes , 15-20 mins the rest. No explanation as to why we waited so long or apology. 2 or 3 of my co workers ordered the goat cheese burger. They took one bite and that was it for them. They said it was not edible. I ordered half rack of ribs , mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Coleslaw was ok but the ribs and mashed potatoes..horrible. it was lacking in seasoning. The mashed potatoe tasted like it came from a package, no butter,salt,etc. The ribs were light in colour, hardly any bbq sauce, lacking in flavour. I had eaten to pieces of the ribs and that was it for me. The others said their food was ok. I will say the nachos( appetizer) was the only thing I can say tasted good. We complained to the manager Ronnie. He said he would discuss it and come back. First off,any manager I have dealt with was able to make a descion on the spot. Ronnie came back 20 minutes later. No charge for the burgers which was obvious and my food 10% off. That was crazy for two bites of horrible ribs and mashed potatoes. After complaining he took off 20%. Still not right but I paid and he said we didn't have to pay the tip for having a party of 8. I don't know if I would go to another Shoeless Joe's location but I definitely not go back or recommend...
