Spotlight Caribbean Kitchen @ 130 Queens Plate Drive is an absolute gem for authentic Jamaican food in Toronto! The restaurant is spotless, well-maintained, and offers comfortable dine-in options for families, friends, or solo visits. The friendly staff go above and beyond with excellent customer service, making every visit feel warm and welcoming.

Their menu is loaded with delicious Caribbean snacks and meals — from tender, flavorful oxtail and perfectly seasoned curry goat to hearty Manish Water (goat head soup), crispy fried plantains, and fresh, flaky Jamaican patties. Every bite is bursting with authentic island flavor.

There’s lots of parking available, and the place is child-friendly, making it perfect for a family outing. If you’re craving true Jamaican cuisine in a clean, inviting atmosphere, Spotlight Caribbean Kitchen is a...

First time back in almost 8 years. Had the curry goat with rice and peas and coleslaw. I also got the macaroni pie on the side. The curry goat was decent, though I think I got more bones than meat. The rice and peas was good. I got enough sauce on the rice, so it wasn’t too dry. The coleslaw was nothing to write home about. Then again, when is coleslaw ever exciting? My biggest disappointment was the macaroni pie. It was basically just Mac and cheese, with the cheese just dropped on top to melt. Maybe it’s just me but this is not how macaroni pie is supposed to be. I guess it was too much to ask for Trini style macaroni pie from a Jamaican restaurant. My overall rating would have been higher had it not been for the disappointment of the...

The food here was really good. I had the curry goat and rice. It was served with a coleslaw type of salad that was really tasty! Side dish of plantain and dumpling was also good. To top it off, the Corona with which I washed it all down, was a nice cold brewsky. I would totally come back here for food next time I'm in the area. Owner was friendly, service was a little slow at the beginning (island time?) But once he got to us, was very attentive and quite pleasant to chat with. If good island food is more important than a fancy establishment, then you'll love this restaurant 😋 If I knew the food was gonna be so good, I would have totally...
