We recently dined/Bollywood Night at Tandoori Masala and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While I was initially excited for Bollywood Night and try this place based on how they communicated to my Brother initially and worked out the Fair Price for bottle services and private booth , I left feeling disappointed due to what I perceive as price gouging.
Here’s a breakdown of my experience:
My Brother spoke to SAURAV (their so-called Manager/Owner) a week ago for my Sister in law’s Birthday. We were all excited and pumped up. When my brother spoke to Saurav initially, He found him very well spoken, reasonable and offered us a very good package for Bottle services and PRIVATE BOOTH WITH BOUNCER (which was really important for us just to avoid fights and any mishap) . We compared it to other packages we had from different restaurants and so far, we found this one more convenient and reasonable.
To book a table, the restaurant requested a $100 deposit which my brother Transferred him right away the same time he booked it. The event was on July 27th, 2024, 10 PM onward. We all got there around 10-11 PM. Waited there about half an hour – 45 Minutes for them to clean up the floor and move tables to convert the whole restaurant into a dance floor. Saurav promised us 1 free beer bottle upon arriving which he delivered (Not beer but Tequila shots instead). We also noticed that they serve Shisha/Hookah, so we ordered (Just1). To start off, they served us 7 Tequila shots which were on house. Next, they brought bottle & Shisha to the booth, and we kept the party going. Everything was going smooth until we started noticing random Girls were heading to our booth and chilling there. My brother noticed and let go a few times, but they did not leave. He approached Saurav and respectfully requested him 3 times to escort them out of the booth. Bouncers were accompanying those girls in our booth (Seemed like they were only working there so that they could hit on them). My brother and husband got pissed and told Server to bring a check and call it a night. We paid the check. Meanwhile, The bouncer and some of their employees were using abusive language. We didn’t pay too much attention to the amount, but the next day we realized that they overcharged us. We called them several times and requested a breakdown of the bill, but they have been giving us vague excuses. We are not requesting any refund; we just want to see the price breakdown, but No Manager or Owner wants to come on the phone. Apparently this SAURAV guy doesn’t work there anymore. We paid $700 for 1 Shisha ($50) , 7 Tequila shorts (6.95 each) 1 Bottle Tequila ($200) , 7-8 Drinks(Whiskey $11.95 each) and Water($50 MAX Estimate) +$100 Deposit which supposed to deducted from Total Bill. I am attaching their Drinks menu as well just for the reference

Read moreTerrible experience. Ordered through Uber Eats. They are listed as "Fusion Bistro". You can only find Tandoori Masala by following the address listed on Uber Eats. It's no surprise why they hide their actual business name. The food was questionable and unacceptable at best. Ended up throwing it away. Ordered the buttered chicken with naan. Crispy chili chicken and 4 veg samosas (buy 2, get 2 free) and a tea. To start, the order was missing 2 samosas. The 2 samosas that did arrive were completely soaked in fryer oil, to the point that the paper bag was dripping. All you could taste was oil.
The butter chicken was a pathetically small container of sauce with one single piece of chicken. Literally one piece! The naan was also completely soaked in oil.
The "crispy" chili chicken was soggy and tasted like precooked packaged chicken with watery sauce poured over top.
The Uber driver had to request that the restaurant cover the tea as it was left open.
The Uber driver was the only redeeming part of this order. She was overly apologetic and embarrassed of the food she had to deliver. Not her fault in any way!
Absolutely avoid this "restaurant"! Total disappointment.
Update after owners response: So to clarify. I did not say you INTENTIONALLY added one piece of chicken. I did say you LITERALLY added one piece of chicken. You may want to educate yourself of the meaning of those two words. Your portions may be fixed and if that's the case, you are incredibly stingy and your food is not worth the cost.
I guess you are not willing to address the missing items or the completely oil soaked food?
The Uber Eats driver did an excellent job! The driver did have to wait at your restaurant for an extended amount of time before the order was handed over. Once they received the order, it was delivered within 10 minutes. I am positive the issues described in my original review with your food occurred before leaving your restaurant.
Thank you for the offer, but I have no desire to visit in person. One terrible experience was enough for me. The only redeeming aspect with my order was that Uber Eats...
Read moreVery disappointing experience.. I was harrassed for standing while waiting for the take out and felt like I had to explain myself which I finally did when they approached me for the 3rd time.. i finally decided to step outside out of frustration. 2 servers came across as unwelcoming, confused, and uneducated.. One of them seemed very uninterested and not happy to be there and show any customer service at all. Language barrier was also present and I got an unrelated random answer to my question about vegan dish. Overall i have felt like they didn't like my presence and questions about vegan friendly dishes because they knew the chef couldn't accommodate me. When one of them asked him about 2 dishes that I have mentioned while the door was opened, she laughed like she was asking him a great favor and I felt like I was being ridiculed because of my choices. It appears that they couldn't make me a vegan roti or Naan and basmati rice was suggested. I kept wondering how the other restaurants like Serdar JI could make these items vegan friendly without a fuss. While I was outside, I had read the reviews, and my stomach turned. I finally got back inside and after waiting another 5 min server came with a take out bag and apologized for the extra wait time and I went to my car to open the packages. Food was not fresh.. no item was made today period. Maybe only rice and side onion slices were sliced and cooked this morning, but chana dal was presented with soggy chick peas and wrong color sauce and it was around 7:50PM. I felt like all my dishes had cream and butter of which they advised me off since the begining and i felt sick, because chana wasn't made fresh and I couldn't eat it! I have felt like going back inside and confronting them about everything but I was already exhausted from driving around all day and frustrated as it is with initial harassment that I've decided to leave. I am definitely not coming back to this place, and I do not recommend it to anyone! P.S. There's a strong odor coming from your washroom area.. I suggest you do something about...
