I don’t like the new chicken wing menu. Stick to what you were doing better. Changing the chicken wing menu. I love supporting small business but at the same time, I expect good food. Don’t serve people things you wouldn’t eat. Return the old version of how you were making the fried chicken wings. To the owner, what other way did you want me to address this, while I was at the restaurant, I called guy who served me this and I told him. He nodded and left. So maybe instead of getting salty, you need to take time and teach your employees of proper customer service and how to deal with such kinda of situation. I had no issue with the previous way of how you were cooking the wings, chicken was always cooked well and appealing to the eyes and the taste was amazing. But this new recipe, it’s not good. It’s not pleasant to the eyes nor the taste. In addition to changing the recipe, you could have change the picture too so that you don’t sell false advertisement ( quite honestly I was really taken aback by what I was served. I know you’re upset, but with this kinda business, you need to have thick skin and accept criticism and work on doing it better next time. I wish you nothing but the best and yesterday won’t stop me coming. I had to write a review for you to be aware of what is being served since you’re not there to see. It’s not like when you first opened, asking customers how their meal was and all that, why did that have to change? Why when a customer raise concern to the employee, nothing was done. the problem with majority of small businesses, they start well, selling a very big standard which we consumers like, then change and not keep up. It should always be white glove service, no matter what. That should be your motto. We only get asked by Abdullahi himself if he will be at the restaurant how was the meal and so on. You will still see him interacting with customers genuinely because he seems to be the only one who understands how to deal with customer and provide a proper warm welcome and service. It shouldn’t be this way, All employees should be trained the same way wether he’s present or not, because service is on every day you open your doors to us, not only when the owner himself is available. BEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER! IF I COULD GIVE IT 6/5 I WOULD! STELLAR SERVICE! So we were staying by the Congress Centre and found this restaurant with high ratings and reviews on google that was open later than the rest so we came by. Mind you by the time we've arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before their closing time. The staffs were super friendly and courteous. He asked if we wanted to dine in or take out. They didn't mind that we came so late and in fact move forth to sat us (8 of us) and asked if it was our first visit to this restaurant. The waiter/host/cashier was super friendly he took the time to go over the menu and items and catered to us including a vegetarian that was part of our group. The food came in a massive...MASSIVE platter and we were all so stuffed! food was SOOOO DELICIOUS! Several staffs came by to interact with out and asked us how the food was and if we needed anything super attentive and nice. They all told us to take our time and enjoy the experience as they need time anyways to clean so it was no problem that we were dining after closing. They also GAVE ALL OF US FREE sweet bread and Chai Tea, the host said it was to welcome us.... HOW AMAZING?!?!?! At the end, several staffs thanked us for visiting before we left - just amazing - felt like I was dreaming of a perfect dining experience or something lol! I have never been treated like that at any restaurant (even higher end restaurants). Mind you we were super casual, so koodos to the restaurant for the amazing food and especially THE SERVICE....that's HOW you know the owner is doing a great job - when all his employees are super nice to your clients. I felt like I was at my best friends house having dinner or something - everyone was so friendly and nice and it was all so genuine! All in all best experience ever!! Too bad I live so far and don't drive....but our group made this restaurant a tradition as we attend the Congress Centre once a year, every year. We will definitely come back next year (or if I'm ever in the area!) YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!

If you’re craving authentic Somali flavors, this place is a must-try! From appetizers to desserts, each dish delivers incredible taste and warmth. 🌟 Sambusa The sambusa here is crispy perfection! 🥟 Golden and flaky on the outside, with a well-seasoned filling that hits all the right notes. Whether you go for beef, chicken it’s the perfect start to your meal. 😋 Mahambri The mahambri is a delightful treat light, fluffy, and biigggggg😍 Fish Mandi The fish is fresh, tender, and seasoned just right, while the rice is aromatic and flavorful. The combination of the rich fish with the perfectly spiced rice is absolutely delicious, making this a must-order dish. 🍽️ Lamb Mandi The lamb mandi is a game-changer! 🐑 The lamb is tender and juicy, cooked with aromatic spices that make each bite flavorful. The rice is perfectly seasoned and complements the dish wonderfully. Hearty, filling, and absolutely delicious! 🍴 Milk 🍰—rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet. It’s the perfect way to end the meal Hospitality What truly stands out here is the warm hospitality 🙏. The staff is incredibly kind, always checking in to make sure you’re enjoying your meal and ensuring you have everything you need. It makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. 💖 Overall, this place serves up delicious Somali cuisine with a side of great hospitality. Whether you’re a fan of Somali food or trying it for the first time, you’re in for a treat! 🙌

In the heart of Etobicoke lies Xawaash, a culinary gem that perfectly marries tradition with contemporary elegance. From the moment you step inside, the restaurant’s chic, modern aesthetic combined with an atmosphere of impeccable cleanliness and inviting warmth beckons you to sit back and indulge.

The menu at Xawaash is a testament to the rich tapestry of Somali cuisine. Each dish is meticulously prepared, offering a symphony of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. The Somali Spiced Beef is a particular highlight, its tenderness and flavor depth indicative of skilled, passionate cooking. The Chicken Suqaar, with its aromatic spices and vibrant textures, offers a delightful, authentic culinary experience.

Equally praiseworthy is the attentive, courteous staff who exemplify what it means to provide excellent customer service. Their friendly demeanor, paired with a deep knowledge of the menu, ensures that every dining experience is personalized and memorable. The staff’s representation of the diverse, multicultural spirit of Toronto enhances the authenticity of the dining experience, making every visit to Xawaash feel like a journey into the heart of Somali hospitality.

Xawaash is not just a restaurant; it is a culinary oasis where quality food, exceptional service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere converge. It is a place where one can savor the best of Somali cuisine while enjoying the embrace of friendly hospitality, making it a standout destination in Etobicoke.

In the Summer of 2021, I became a loyal patron of Xawaash restaurant, thanks to my lovely wife who introduced me to this remarkable establishment. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the contemporary setup and the impeccable cleanliness that set a welcoming tone.

After ordering my meal, I found myself staying much longer than initially planned, indulging in their delectable dessert menu. The food at Xawaash is not only flavorful and affordable but also served with great care. The management is friendly, making every visit feel like a special occasion. Since my first visit, I have become a regular customer on weekends. My personal favorites are the chicken mandi, ginger Somali Tea paired with the Date cake and vanilla ice cream—a perfect ending to any meal.

Beyond the food and service, what stands out to me is the staff's embodiment of our diverse Canadian culture. The majority of the employees are young adults who exude friendliness and respect, truly enhancing the dining experience. Their warm and welcoming demeanor makes Xawaash not just a restaurant but a vibrant community hub. I continue to look forward to my visits, each one as delightful as the...
