Yesterday, I stopped by this place located just outside Islington subway station, on my way back from a long walk along Bloor Street. As I didn't want anything heavy, I tried the Chicken Tikka Kabab, and I wasn't disappointed. It came with 8 flavorful, cooked to perfection, ever so tender, moist and juicy pieces of chicken and a side of Indian salad. It was reasonably priced, and portion size was just right. I found the taste very authentic, and not watered down for white palates. I gave it a 3 star rating 'cos it was served in a take out container though I'd said I would dine in. If it was served on a throwaway plate, I'd have given it 4 stars. I understand it's a difficult balancing act to keep prices attractively affordable and control costs when one provides decent tableware. Nevertheless, I was satisfied with my dining experience. On my way out, I engaged the owners - a lovely Indian couple, in a short conversation complimenting them on the delicious Chicken Tikka Kabab that they serve. They have a varied and interesting menu. I can see myself going there again.

This restaurant has a large variety of dishes to choose from. Which can get a little overwhelming. Though all of which are absolutely delicious. Some of the dishes I would recommend would be the Goat Biryani, and Chicken Monagadi and Chicken 65. Last week they newly introduced the Chicken/Goat Vindaloo. And that is by far the tastiest dish I have eaten here. The Chef really knows how to bring out the flavours in his dishes, which is very rare to find in Indian restaurants in Toronto. The dishes are also available in various sizes and is priced reasonably. Apart from the food, this restaurant has recently introduced Asian snacks and spices which is not easily available in our locality and saves me the time traveling up north to get them. They don't have a huge collection yet. Though they are still working on adding to their inventory. All in all, a great restaurant, and super friendly staff.

So happy to finally have a restaurant offering authentic South Indian flavours in the neighbourhood! Reasonable prices, generous portions, fresh food, and friendly & helpful staff. Their biryanis are great, but you must also try their guthi vankaya eggplant! Can't go wrong with their chili chicken (pictured top), Andhra chicken curry, or any dishes with monagadi sauce (paneer is an excellent option). Just tried the egg pulusu (pictured bottom left). Never seen this dish before but will certainly consider ordering it again — very flavourful! For those who are sensitive to heat, you might want to have some raita on the side. I consider myself to have a medium spice tolerance and so far everything I've ordered has been prepared with the perfect amount of heat for me. Love this place and hope to keep coming back! Definitely recommend.

Nothing about this restaurant uses authentic Hyderabad spices - I'm sorry to say. The owner says his chefs are from Hyderabad and he's been running this business since 2018, however, just because your chefs came from Hyderabad does not qualify them to make beautiful Hyderabadi dishes that are known for the region. I ordered two Hyderabadi biryanis in half trays (thank goodness they were half trays and not full ones). One was Chicken and other was goat. The chicken biryani had MASSIVE thigh pieces just suffocating the tray and the rice was barely present. Goat biryani was better. They put spices that are forbidden in actual Hyderabadi biryanis - I would know because my family friends and in laws are from there and I was just so embarrassed when I claimed that I got Hyderabadi dum biryani - one look and they were severely disappointed. The mirchi ka salan - THAT IS NOT MIRCHI KA SALAN. It is a watery abomination. No one should ingest that - sorry!! Owner (Prasad) is a cordial friendly person as he gave me a tray of complimentary gulab jamuns for my 1st time visit. But it stays as that - a first and only visit. I called him and gave my feedback and he was nice enough to...

I have been living at the Bloor Islington area for over 10 years. The South West corner of Bloor Islington station has been served by various establishments over time but they were not able to stick around for long as it was not able to generate much business. But guess what - Hyderabad spices changed all that! I saw it - and i ordered the Goat Masala (which apparently is an appetizer dish) and fell in love with it immediately. The right amount of spices and aroma. I have ordered that many many times now. On top i personally belive that they have the best naan in town. That is after experiencing naans from so many indian and pakistani restaurants. The way the wrap it in an aluminium foil so that not to loose the integrity of the naan structure keeps its freshness. Additionally the naan is well baked unlike naans from other restaurants i have experienced where you find parts of the naan lumpy dough and not baked well. Highly...
