Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Toronto

since when does Starbucks not give tap water to "non customers"? am I missing something? I never heard that before as I've always gotten it... I buy at SB regularly, and today (9 Sept. 2025) I went to this location around 8-830pm I believe (it was totally empty and not busy at ALL), and asked for a cup of tap water... and the worker there tells me "oh it's for customers only with a purchase"... I ask her, "okay then can I purchase the water only?" I was thirsty. and she goes like "no sorry"... umm okay? really? we can't get tap water at Starbucks anymore OR buy it? if things have changed I would love to know. or maybe the worker could've actually explained to me in detail, nicely, about the changes... instead of showing no care, kindness or...

Worst starbucks ever. Either the oven is broken or the drip coffee machine is broken. They don’t make Blonde Roast after 1:00 pm. What kind of a starbucks is this? You wait in such long line ups usually only for staff to say something is not working or they don’t offer. The staff are also not friendly at all. This is my go to Starbucks in the St Claire area, I bring my service dog often and they’re always so welcoming. Last trip I went August served me and she was very sweet and even though there was a large line behind me she worked fast and efficiently with a cheerful attitude....
