If you want good service and your drink to be made correctly I’d recommend avoiding this location; especially the employee Kyle.
I ordered an Iced London Fog Tea Latte, w/ an oat base & no vanilla shot. This drink takes longer because it needs 5 minutes to steep.
After ordering, my drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. My first sip just tasted like oat milk on ice. It wasn’t steeped correctly, I’ve had the same drink many times at different locations and it tasted wrong.
It was busy, I didn’t want to wait for them to make a new drink, so I just asked for a tea bag. The barista Kyle told me it’s “not supposed to taste strong” and “the iced LF isn’t as strong as the hot beverage”. I tried to explain that it doesn’t taste right and it’s supposed to steep for 5 min but he cut me off to say “I know I watched it steep on the timer” and said that if I want another tea bag I’d have to pay for it.
At that point I left because it was clear they weren’t going to try and make my experience any better. Luckily Starbucks customer service was great, I received a $15 gift card to refund my drink and compensate for the poor customer service.
I didn’t appreciate Kyle assuming my taste buds were wrong after I payed for a $7 drink made incorrectly that I buy all the time. There was another review complaining about Kyle’s demeanour so it’s clear he is not a good representative...
Read moreThis Starbucks has quick service and plenty of seating. My only complaint is that this location loses it ambiance around noon or 3:30PM on weekdays, when it suddenly becomes an extension of the cafeteria of the high school across the street. The location becomes filled with kids taking up seats, a large number of who just chat loudly and don’t buy anything from the store. I once saw a student bring a Tim Hortons iced Capp in and sit among a group of students who did not buy anything! While I’m shocked by some of the students’ manners, I do wish the management would find a way of preventing loitering because I can see that it stops customers from coming in because of the disruption to the ambiance and the decrease in seating. I have for example, chosen to go to a different location or another coffee shop around 12noon or 3:30PM, because of the lack of...
Read moreI am consistently disappointed with this location as it is the only one which, 8/10 times, gets my order wrong. It's not even a complicated order, but it consists of their blonde blend of coffee with sugar, cream, and a dash of cinnamon. Their mistake is always omitting the sugar and/or cinnamon. Furthermore, it is also common that you'll be waiting quite a while compared to going in and ordering at the counter; app orders take at least 2 more minutes longer than what their predicted time of "readiness" would be.
Early morning, you'll be greeted with the rush hour work bunch, while around lunchtime, you get the groups to large masses of high-school kids from East York Collegiate, making the store loud and, at times, unbearable to stay and sit in, while the outside of the store will be littered...
