Ok folks, Coles notes version here, this is gunna be on the quiz next Monday.
So I go to this subway because I'm craving my assorted sub and the Mr. Sub on the Queensway is jammed with people lined up out the door....so I bite the bullet and head to subway.
I've had bad luck with subway. Not the food....you know what you're getting with a sub, nothing great, but not too shabby either. It's the service that keeps me away. I hadn't been to a subway in five years because of the last service I had recieved from some goth jerkhole who was angry at the universe. Well I consider my money like a vote, and folks, after years of crap service, subway just wasn't gunna get my vote no more. So I walk into this place and there's no customers. BONUS. At least I won't have to wait for my abuse. Then, the first of three people from behind the counter says, "hello, welcome!" Then her husband says the same, then a young lady in the kitchen section says good afternoon from way in the back. There were smiles all around, including on my face. They just made my day. Anywho, I decided to order two subs, one for right away and one maybe for tomorrow. 24 bucks......not gunna lie....that's expensive. The long and short of it is.....I'll be back to subway....maybe just this location....I don't feel like pressing my luck....but wow...just wow, was it nice to be served by some genuine human beings with manners, courtesy and decency. If the morons at subway corporate are reading this, you need to get your thumbs out of your collective arses and see what the folks at this location are doing. If you're not gunna compete on price, it would behove you dummies to examine the non tangible asset of superior customer service. It works. Right now McDonald's is charging a fortune for tasteless food and telling their customers to take a hike in monosyllabic grunts. The folks running this location understand what I'm talking about, and God bless them for it.
Anywho, anywho, I highly recommend anyone with a hankering for a sub to spend your money at this subway. You will...
Read moreUnderstandable when New Hires are in Training, I get this. I was pretty disappointed by the "Everything" Bread to start. It has a very unusual firmness to it. You'll take a bite, and have to gnaw off the bread while everything else falls apart.
Order was 2 Footlongs sandwiches; Cold Cut, Everything bread, mozz + toppings Veggie Delight, Ital Herb bread, shredded chz + toppings
There were no Red Onions; again, not the biggest deal breaker. I then asked for "Lots of Fried Onions", as was given legit 2 micro pinches. I say this due to finding maybe 4-6 pieces of fried onion, as the sandwich fell apart.
My Sub definitely wasn't folded closed, cut, and wrapped properly. Knife safety and handling is paramount in kitchens, even using small paring or serrated knifes. I would have appreciated the 2 Staff members; just slow down, take their time, and treat every customer as their next Best opportunity to make their day.
There came an Uber Eats driver after us, but I felt the subs we ordered became secondary to the other person's order. Not a good interaction. Our sandwiches got finished... Not to the standard Subways strives. It (appeared to) seem these were 2 meals, slapped together, in a rush.
Please take my critique constructively. We're all human, so this should be viewed as an Coaching opportunity between Staff, non penalizing. Let's strive to do better Subway Kipling &...

They are very stingy with the toppings, you feel the weight difference when you pick up your Sandwhich versus any other subway. They will spread 6 cucumbers across a Footlong Sandwhich and think that’s good enough, and then act extremely displeased if you ask for extra of a topping (just to get the correct amount of the topping).
If you go at a busy time, often the manager (large Indian woman) is yelling at someone on the phone while cashing you out, and they will offer you a bag, without telling you there is now a charge for a paper bag (or just charge you for it). I have never been in a subway that charges for a bag other than this one.
Honestly, drive the extra 5 minutes to the subway at Kipling and lakeshore, much better experience and seems to owned by a nice Asian couple who work behind the counter an know how to...
