I ordered a bunch of Christmas goodies, to the delight of my entire family. Michele was incredibly responsive and wonderful to deal with, and had my order ready for pickup, which was such an easy transaction. I got a variety of butter tarts — all 11/10 — and a savoury spinach, cheddar and leek quiche for Boxing Day brunch. Beautiful and delicious. The shortbread cookies never made it home to visit family (shhh don’t tell!). Every single bite was divine. “Best I’ve ever had” was exclaimed more than a few times by both the Celiacs among us and those used to gluten-filled goodies. We will order more as soon as we can again. No photos… not even a crumb left. Couldn’t recommend...

Tartistry has the absolute BEST butter tarts I’ve ever had!!! Every single flavour is a home run, but my favourite is the toasted coconut! The crusts are buttery and flakey, and the fillings are full and delicious!! They can accommodate almost every food allergy and my family members who have a variety of allergies, all can eat these and absolutely adore them! Cute little shop too with lovely servers! I also bought their tart shells and made my own filling from berries in my yard and they turned out incredible!

Note: the photo only shows two tarts because we inhaled the others too quickly before...

This is a wonderfully cozy and eclectic little tart and tea shop (and soup too). Which serves the best butter tarts I have ever had in my life! They even had live jazz performers there jamming in the front. The service was great and welcoming. The server at the front even cooked up a special batch of tarts for my friend so she would have a freshly baked tart rather than one from the freezer when the one she wanted were not at the front. I highly recommend it. Also it is vegan, gf, and sf friendly and also friendly to regular...

We went Saturday’s for the free Live Jazz. It’s a n interesting Atmosphere in the place, hard to describe. A mix of grandma’s living room and an antique store. It appears the pretty much the entire store is for sale. The food was great and so the coffee. We also loved the live music. If I had to complain about something it would be the price of the tarts, but having the free live music included definitely made up for it and I guess they are all fresh and hand made. The service is absolutely lovely.

This is another one of Toronto’s gems. This place is extremely original and local. They make the best traditional butter tarts (in multiple flavors) and they also sell the best beef bourguignon pie I’ve ever had. If you want to try something seriously Canadian in Toronto, this is one place you should go to (bonus for the jazz sessions that take place every Saturday). The best of it all is Tartistry is owned by locals, the staff is always friendly, and their products are gluten free.
