Subway — Restaurant in Toronto

I went to this Subway a few hours ago and the lady working in the store locked the door before 9 pm when the sign on the door said that the store was to be closed. The lady inside the store saw us there at the door waiting to come in at 8:45 and would not even come to the door to let us in. We were there with another fellow who ordered and paid for his food but was just there to pick up his order and she saw him and ignored him too. We know the lady saw us because we were knocking at the door and she look right at us and walked into the back of the store repeatedly so she could run out the clock until 9 pm. I had a very unpleasant experience at this Subway location. The service was extremely poor—staff were not only unhelpful but downright rude. They seemed irritated by basic questions and made the whole experience feel unwelcome.

The condition of the store was even worse. There was rubbish scattered around the floor, the trash bins were overflowing, and the tables were dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It felt unhygienic and uninviting to sit and eat there.

I usually enjoy Subway for its quick service and fresh food, but this location really failed to meet even the most basic standards. I hope management takes this seriously and makes improvements, especially in cleanliness and...

I’ve ordered meatball subs from many different Subways and they always include tomato sauce on the meatballs. Can’t assume that at this location. Only after toppings were piled on did I realize the sub looked different and asked 3 times if the sub had sauce. Only on the 3rd ask did the lady respond and ask if “I wanted MORE sauce.” A bit of sauce was drizzled over the mountain of toppings. The sub tasted abnormally bland for a meatball sub. Upon closer inspection, the meatballs had no sauce and it was the most tasteless sub I’ve ever had. I hope the staff learn from my experience.
