The Swiss Chalet on Eglinton offers a pleasant dining experience, staying true to the brand’s reputation for tasty rotisserie chicken. The Eglinton branch stands out for its well-prepared, flavorful chicken and the signature Chalet sauce that elevates the meal. The portions are generous, making it a good value for both dine-in and takeout.
The staff at this location are typically friendly and attentive, although service can occasionally be slow during busy hours. The restaurant itself is clean, though the décor could use a refresh, as it feels a bit outdated compared to more modern restaurants. The seating is comfortable, making it a nice spot for casual family dinners or a quick meal.
One minor drawback is that some sides, like the fries, can be inconsistent in quality, but the chicken and ribs always deliver on taste. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, especially during peak times, but the takeaway service is efficient and well-organized.
Overall, the Swiss Chalet Eglinton branch provides a reliable and satisfying dining experience, especially for those seeking comfort food with...
Read moreThis place is still producing good food since I was a kid. New renovations, which kinda shows its making money. Moist chicken , fresh fries, which must be Harvey’s fries which is awesome. Fresh gravy. Spring rolls are a must with plum sauce for anybody that has lactose requirements. Just one thing. You guys need to hire better wait staff. I do not like it , when I go out to eat. To feel like I am being rushed out the door 🚪 when nobody else is being rushed out the door. Especially during closing times. I also don’t like to be reminded, on things I ordered for the meal, to be pointed out at the end for not being eaten or drank. I was also rushed to pay a bill 💵 when I was paying in cash. Two times she ask me to pay. I didn’t see the problem considering we just finished eating. And others just got there meals and where still eating. And maybe I wanted another drink or more food to maybe go if that was available. So be mindful to others celebrating when out. It was kinda ridiculous and nobody should have to put up with a pushy staff member, especially when out...

The chicken they did have was dry, bland, and honestly felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. The worst part? My server literally asked me for a tip — word for word — before I even finished eating. Completely unprofessional.
And despite the restaurant being practically empty, with tables clearly available, I was told I had to wait 30 minutes for a seat. For what? There were maybe two other tables with people.
As a former employee, I’m disappointed. As a customer, I’m frustrated. Swiss Chalet has fallen so far off, it’s...
