EDIT - As of December 21st 2023, this location was renovated with a new look and the service became worse. The food station was moved behind the new wall so you can't see them mess up your order and correct them before they finish. They still don't know how to toast or butter a bagel. The front is now smaller because they added an airlock and so the space is cramped. They added a "now serving" display with ambiguous numbers on it that they don't give you or call out. This location is really just for drive thru as the walk-in experience is just terrible.
This location has a total of 4 competent employees. Unfortunately 2 work in the back, one takes drive thru orders (doesn't make them), and the last one doesn't seem to work as often.
This location has some seriously poor training and it shows. Some issues I've had.
-Not getting the right amount of surgar or cream in my coffee.
-Not stirring the coffee properly, making all the sugar sit at the bottom.
-I ask for a plain bagel, double toasted with butter. I get a plain bagel lightly heated with butter, or double toasted with a smidgen of butter, or lightly heated with a smidgen of butter, or double toasted with butter on only one side to the point I have to watch the bagel being made and yell out instructions.
They care so much about getting drive-thru and delivery taken care of that they focus on speed rather than accuracy and it's a consistent problem.
They also seem to be understaffed as on any given day there could be 10 people in lineup and only one person taking and actually making the orders, causing the lineups to get bigger and bigger and the levels of frustration to go up.
They have 4 people working drive thru, one person working the front. The only have 1 food station to take care of both the front and drive thru, so there's frequent delays and eventually, to make up for that, they get one person in the back to help out but what ends up happening is they end up working over each other and causing more problems.
This location used to be amazing, but unfortunately the owner has stopped visiting the location, its best employees have left, head office almost never comes around for evaluations, and the managers are never seen. The current staff is very poorly trained and look confused when you ask them to butter both sides.
Unfortunately this location is the only one within reasonable distance of the area as one other location (Midland and Eglinton) was closed by the city for TTC projects and the other location (Markham and Eglinton) is a bit of a trek if you don't have a car.
Don't recommend this...
Read moreMy recent visit to the Tim Hortons on Eglinton Avenue East for breakfast was a disappointing experience, leading me to reconsider dining in altogether. This particular location unfortunately falls far short of the welcoming and clean image one expects from a Canadian staple like Tim Hortons.
Atmosphere & Cleanliness: Upon entering, the store immediately struck me as unkempt and cramped. The general appearance was quite off-putting, making it an unappealing environment for a meal.
Clientele: The majority of patrons present appeared to be struggling with addiction, which, while reflecting a broader societal issue in Toronto, significantly contributed to an uncomfortable and unsafe feeling within the establishment.
Service: The service received was indifferent. The server seemed disengaged, giving the impression of not caring or perhaps just having a very bad day. This lack of attentiveness further detracted from the experience.
Dining Experience: Due to the uninviting atmosphere and the feeling of unease, I ultimately decided against dining in. The environment was simply not conducive to a pleasant breakfast.
Exterior & Accessibility: Even before entering, the location presents issues. A large tree significantly obstructs the view of the entrance sign, making it less visible and potentially harder to find for new visitors.
This Tim Hortons location is in dire need of a significant spruce-up, both inside and out. It does not reflect the brand's iconic status as an emblem of Canada. I will not be returning to this specific...
Read moreThis location is a hit or miss. The food is good, however the service is awful. They have terrible customer service skills and are unable to follow simple requests. Because of this, I’d rather drive to another Tim Hortons although this location is closer to my workplace. Today I placed an order in the drive thru. Sure enough when I checked my order after driving off, it didn’t have what I requested. So I drove back in to line to politely ask for it to be remade. The lady who takes the order was already having an attitude after I kindly explained the situation to her, so I didn’t expect our second meeting to go well. All I asked for was a sesame seed bagel double toasted with butter and cheddar cheese. Additionally I asked for it to be cut because for some reason they never cut the bagel. I mean, was that so difficult or something for her to be upset about? When I got to the window for the second time, the same lady showed no compassion and you could see the annoyance on her face asking her colleagues to remake the bagel and rushing the young man at the window to give me the bagel. They still didn’t do what I had requested but I chose to just leave it alone. I don’t have all day to drive in and out of a drive thru. Her behaviour made me lose my appetite anyways. I understand that mistakes happen, I’m not mad about that at all. But if you make a mistake, at least take responsibility for it and ensure it doesn’t happen a second time. People pay for their food and drinks so is it not fair to give them what...
