🦋We’ve walked by this café numerous times. During warmer weather, there are some small tables and chairs nicely placed outside on Sherbourne giving customers a chance to sip their drinks and eat their treats while outdoors.

🦋When we walked into the Black Canary, we were instantly greeted with a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere. There are a lot of seats and tables on the inside and even ones that face the window so we can look out onto Sherbourne and watch the cars and people passing by. We especially loved the plants scattered throughout the café. Most of them were in the seating area which added a level of comfort to our experience (we love trees and plants 🎄🌸.

🦋The guy at the counter was super friendly and helped us understand our choices since it was our first time there. We both decided to get a London Fog, sweetened with almond milk. We also got a ginger molasses cookie and the vegan, buckwheat and chocolate chip cookie.

🦋The London Fogs were awesome. Since we decided to stay there, our drinks came in a mug and we felt like we were official “café people” (a cool feeling to experience 😎). The temperature was hot enough where we could drink it slowly but it wasn’t going to burn our mouths off - melodrama 😂? Both cookies were really good. They were crunchy, yet we could tell they were fresh.

🦋This place is really cool. It’s cozy, cute, atmospheric, warm and inviting. We felt good the entire time we were there and vowed that we would definitely be back for more. Thank you so much to the Black Canary for having such a good vibe and reminding us that we don’t need to look far and wide to find peace and happiness. It’s always right where we are - it’s us.

🦋This is our experience. What’s...

Flies and not the cleanest feel. Order and pay first (obv. Tip!) and then as you wait for your cup and take a seat only to have them tell you that they have a minimum order amount for being able to sit inside. Then as you collect that extra order that you didn't need but to exceed their minimum criteria they tell you... Ohh you also have limited time to sit. My order was not small to begin with we were 3 friends so a drink each... Also it was not like it was a very busy time for them. Our first time there so there's no "background" thag I know of to this. These rules seemed to only apply to us and arbitrary, the staff who shared these rules/ info was somewhat rudely blunt. Had I got the coffees in a takeaway cup would've just left immediately. Sat for 15 minutes and it smelled weird and lots of flies inside. 2 stars to atmosphere because it looks nice and with plants. But nothing special here, definitely have had better coffee and more pleasant interactions with other staff...

A really cute cafe that's been serving the Corktown/Downtown area since 2010. They serve the coffee scene but also expanded into art, gifts and plant boutique as well. Great vibes!

During our visit, we ordered their Cold Brew and Horjicha Latte (that was part of their featured menu). The latte was very delicious and the staff member was very informative when explaining lactose-free alternatives like soy milk. In their unit, they have their Black Canary blend of coffee, a curated selection of plants for sale and odds and ends that you can buy here like placemats (kitchen/dining stuff).

The staff were very friendly. They take credit cards and had a very seamless transaction. The menu is handwritten on the board with the featured drinks menu on the left side. Also, they're on Ritual if you want to order ahead. There are seats inside and outside. Their bathroom requires the keys and specific access to...

I recently visited this coffee shop near my college, for the first time with a friend. Since I wasn’t familiar with the menu, one of their team members kindly recommended the hot chocolate. I ordered a medium, and it was not only delicious but also gave me the energy boost I needed to keep studying, making my day even more special. The shop itself was clean, with a peaceful environment that allowed me to focus and relax. The cozy atmosphere and inviting aroma made it the perfect spot to think and recharge. Since that day, I’ve made it a habit to stop by Blacknaray for coffee whenever I head to college. I’ve also tried their lattes and regular coffee, and each experience has been just as satisfying!

Amazing team here at Black Canary and always so welcoming. I don't drink coffee but when my sister came to visit this place became her favourite go to. So I recommended to my dad who was visiting and the same thing, he was hooked! And so it continues, anyone who visits ends up falling love with Black Canary for their coffee so it must be as good as it always smells in there! Will say I love their bagels as a treat! They are homemade and they taste amazing. Perfect crunch to melt in your mouth ratio. They only make up a certain amount each day so go early! The sesame is my favourite but all are delicious!!!!! I also bought a plant from their that is still going strong.
