The restaurant itself is charming. Old, rustic decor with a real mom and pops vibe. Walls have memorabilia and it looks like it may have been a local favourite back in the day. The staff were friendly and the owner was courteous as well. However they don't accept card yet they have an ATM machine that charges 2 bucks per transaction inside their venue. I heard from a friend who lived in the area for a handful of years that she heard that this restaurant was good although she had never been as she's a vegetarian. As a burger lover, I judge a burger spot by their cheese burger and an order of fries. The buns were decent, and the way they build your burger is like at Subway or Harvey's. They don't have a lot of condiment options but I like my basic lettuce, onions, tomatoes with ketchup, mustard, and mayo anyway. One thing that bugged me was that when I was ordering the cashier asked whether I wanted the frozen patty or the homemade 6oz patty...as if that should even be an option. To my disappointment the homemade patty was dry and my assumption was that it was frozen before as well. No fresh patty should come out with such dry texture and no juices. The fries were okay, nothing great. It's a real shame because the restaurant has a vibe to it and by actually serving fresh patties they would be much more successful and maybe they can get rid of that silly ATM...

We ordered a chicken burger a homemade Banquet burger and onion rings. Chicken burger cost $5.20 the Banquet Burger cost $7.10 if itâs a homemade burger the cheddar cheese we ordered for the banquet burger is extra cost at $1.45 and The cashier didnât mention cheese would be an extra charge. We also ordered onion rings at a cost of almost a dollar per onion ring for the five pieces we got.
The taste of the burgers were not bad. There were many condiments to choose from which is always great and these condiments were the main reason why the burger looked bigger. The chicken patty and the beef patty were very small. The chicken patty was crispy and the beef patty was cooked juicy for their size. Save your money and donât buy the onion rings even though they were crispy not worth the price.
We went near closing time and there were not many people in the store the chairs for the seating area I need a bit of work some of the seats were ripped up him and the store could use a few touchups.
Weâve tried a few different local burger places and we are comparing these local stores to another one called Real McCoy and so far Real McCoy has not been beaten so try them if youâre in...
Read moreGreat prices and good-sized portions at this neighbourhood, family friendly, burger joint!
Always busy with customers of all ages. The menus is varied with everything from burgers, fries and a milkshake to fish and chips or a Greek salad! The homemade burger and fries are yummy (although not the best I have ever had or even in the top three) and filling (make sure you are capital H(ungry) when you head over). I think it is hard to specialize in any one type of food when you serve such an eclectic menu so I would go with this attitude, âyou get what you pay forâ (the prices are very reasonable).
This place is easy to miss as itâs set back a bit from the road but it has parking spaces for half a dozen cars and is served by the eglinton w bus... itâs also a short (less than 10 min) walk from eglinton station.
The decor is run down but it has a homey feel... these guys have been in business for a while and are not about âthe frillsâ focusing more on making good food, at good prices, and supporting local community sports teams, events, etc.
They have received a lot of recognition for their efforts and are well worth a try for any...
