I placed an order for pickup. 1 bag of shrimp with 2 side rice and additional side of cajun fries.
Note: My home to the restaurant is a 15min drive around this time of the day; so It takes 30mins to go back and fort. Also note: I love eating shrimp with rice. Should always be with rice for me.
As soon as i get home, i was excited to eat lunch with my wife so i prepared everything on the table, only to find out they missed the 2 sides of rice that came in the combo.
I wouldn’t be driving all the way to the restaurant to get 2 sides of rice. I already thought of cooking rice myself; but I at least wanted some compensation from their mistake.
I called and a lady picked up the phone. I told her the issue and she apologized. She gave me 2 options, (1) come back to restaurant and they will give me 2 sides of rice and (2) come back next time and they will make sure i have 2 sides of rice on my next order (this suggestion really irritated me but i just laughed at it)
Those 2 options were no good for me so I ask her to transfer me to her manager. She transferred me to a guy named Christian who claimed to be supervisor and said they have no manager there except for him who is part of management team.
What was I expecting really? Well. 30mins of my time is too much just to go back and fort from house to restaurant. It seemed unfair to drive and waste time just so they could complete my order. I was expecting at least some compensation either an additional side of fries or whatever. Just to make it seem fair. Christian however, reitterated that my options are the same with what the lady has told me.
At this point. I was really disappointed and ask him how much does a side of rice cost. He answered $2.50. I told him to just refund me $5 cost of 2x rice back to my visa. And he goes on to say it cannot be done from their side and that I have to come back. Mind you, i work in the restaurant too and we dont fix things the way they do. Refunds we can do even when customers are not present / we wont be asking customers to drive 30mins just so we can fix our mistake. Its just not right.
Anyway. I told him to put my name there and i will just come back for my refund within the week. And he insisted that refund can only be done today.
I gave up at this point and said they could have the 2x rice i ordered.
Its a rookie mistake for me to trust a restaurant to fulfill an order completely. But I had hopes they would have fix things the same way a good restaurant would do.
The food is good. But the policy, management, and solving mistakes plan, is terrible. Its the worst kind. I didnt feel like a customer. Everything had to be by their terms.
Hopefully they would train Christian on how to handle things and...

Read moreSuper unfortunate. We really like the captain's boil and it's become a bit of a Father's Day tradition so we were all really looking forward to it. They had a Father's Day feast special on which we ordered for $189 plus drinks and an order of wings.
A couple minutes after ordering they came back and told us that they were out of the lobster but they would give us 2 lobster tails in lieu of the full lobster.
When it came everything was pretty good as expected however the two lobster tails were completely raw when I cut them open. Our server totally agreed and took the whole plate to the back I guess to re-cook because they came back in about 15 minutes tasting like rubber.
I addressed it with one of the managers because our server went on a dinner break and we did not see her the rest of the the time.
I hate to waste food and honestly the lobster was inedible at that point. The manager asked if we wanted some free drinks or if the kids wanted some dessert. Really kids ice cream in lieu of lobster??
But honestly we just went with it. Another 15 minutes went by without us seeing anyone and my kids were getting restless after just being promised icecream.
I told the manager thanks but no thanks can we please just have the bill because we want to go. She said she would take care of the drinks and the wings. So the missing $65 market price lobster as well as the terrible service was supposed to be swept under the rug for two $9 sapporo's and a $16 plate of wings. Not cool.
Very disappointing Father's Day. Over $200 spent for two adults and two kids even with the discounted items taken off and now I'm across the street at sherway looking for something to eat because I'm actually still hungry and now my kids want icecream obviously. Thanks!
To top it all off we didn't even get any of the bibs. Overall not good experience and very weak attempt at making a bad situation right. Actually...
