What was supposed to be a family celebration after the Toronto marathon turned out to be a huge letdown. We had made reservations far in advance of our day on May 7. We wanted to celebrate my son’s first marathon and his fiancé’s first half marathon. My three daughters and son came with their partners and a friend. In total 9 adults, a three-year-old and a seven month old infant. We had requested a high chair which was waiting for us there at the table. However, after sitting there for 45 minutes to an hour, without any service, I simply asked could we just get some water to one of the servers nearby. She was shocked and appalled that we had not had been served yet and said she would find our server. It was another half hour and I asked again, please could we get some service. She finally came back and apologized and said she was now our server. It only got worse. Our orders took also an hour, and for others, longer. The food was cold, it was served very sporadic, and the whole ordeal was very very disappointing. Isn’t this what you train for!?? The big busy Sundays, ??? This is the first restaurant review post I’ve ever done even though I’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants around town and the world. This hit home, with my family. I really feel this type of shabby service that we got should not be overlooked. Unfortunately, we had chosen this restaurant to celebrate this important milestone in our families life and it was a...
Read moreIt seems cruel to rate a place when staffing shortages seem the norm. We came in at the tail end of brunch largely due to the promise of a good beer list.
It took a while to get our order and it felt as if we had been lost in the influx of new patrons. Several times we heard the refrain of 'everyone decided to come in all at once. Our apologies.'
High ceilings with wood and exposed pipes made for very loud dining. While the desire to have a buzz in the restaurant is a trend for the last few years, it can sometimes make hearing your dining companion a chore. A blessing was the reasonable volume level on the playlist.
I was struck by how this could be a downmarket Milestones or a better version of Kelsey's. It serves its purpose. I enjoyed the beer list and had a flight; if the service and atmosphere had been a touch more attentive or quieter, I would have had another flight
Maybe this isn't the fault of the restaurant but just what has been dealt by the design and the employment market. If I was in the area, it would still be a good choice...

Our adventure began with nachos that unfortunately missed the mark with overcooked cheese. However, our server, Michael, quickly turned things around. He replaced the dish with mouthwatering chicken wings drenched in a tantalizing hot sauce. The manager's personal apology highlighted their commitment to ensuring a satisfying evening.
As we moved indoors, we stumbled upon an impressive selection of draft beers, perfectly complementing the flawlessly cooked fries and delectable dip. The owner's attentive presence added an extra touch of care. It's worth mentioning Michael's exceptional service, which transformed an ordinary evening into an extraordinary date night. This hidden gem serves as a reminder that remarkable culinary experiences often lie beyond first...
