TL;DR: Local, good people who make tasty, quality food with warm service, transparent and absolutely fair pricing. Also, I have found many safe foods here:)
As a happy regular of The Grind Cafe, I can confirm that this is the place to go. The flavours, quality, and presentation of their food is simplicity done at its best. I am a picky eater, yet the food at the Grind is always delicious regardless of my usual dislikes; they somehow cured my hatred of sandwiches! Their cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, and their product/service is just as good when you need to get some takeout. I have run in to grab a smoothie many times with no problems. The owners are always there with a smile and a kind greeting while they work. I would be reluctant to try this cafe because of the prices (if I had never gone before), so I would like to assure you that the cafe's transparency is part of their pattern of honesty and commitment to good food. I just listed my personal go-tos in the recommendations; realistically, I would...
Read moreExtremely disappointed, wanted to check out this coffee shop and support a local business. I went in looking for a little more information for the drinks they had to offer, I asked some questions and asked for a recommendation. However I was met with nothing but attitude and vague responses. It was disheartening considering I was excited to possibly find a coffee shop in my area that I could become a regular at. I am unsure what the persons problem with me was, because all I had done at that point was greet her kindly but it made me uncomfortable and unwanted at establishment. Based on their reviews I was excepting to be welcomed in with warmth however I was sadly mistaken , possibly symptom of a greater issue ???? (racism) because everyone else (who didn’t look like) who was there before and after me, was treated with wonderful service. The icing on the cake was that the drink I ordered was not good, extremely watered down and overpriced for the size. I won’t be back here, a terrible way to start off Black...
Read moreUpon relocating to the neighborhood, my roommate and I discovered the Grind Cafe. Despite the abundance of cafes in the area, this particular establishment had yet to grace our list. From the moment we stepped inside, Natalia and Greg greeted us with a warmth that made us feel instantly at home. The interior's charming trinkets, the array of community postings, the expansive windows, inviting outdoor seating, and the open kitchenette all contributed to an ambiance brimming with positive energy.
The culinary offerings are nothing short of delightful. The sandwiches, especially the Ham and Swiss pressed sandwich, stand out as personal favorites, providing a delectable treat between meetings. The black coffee, robust and perfectly brewed, complements the meal wonderfully. Additionally, the recent addition of protein powder to the menu has enhanced their offerings, providing an excellent post-workout beverage for those on the go. Kudos to Natalia and Greg for creating such a welcoming and vibrant...
