TL;DR: Local, good people who make tasty, quality food with warm service, transparent and absolutely fair pricing. Also, I have found many safe foods here:)

As a happy regular of The Grind Cafe, I can confirm that this is the place to go. The flavours, quality, and presentation of their food is simplicity done at its best. I am a picky eater, yet the food at the Grind is always delicious regardless of my usual dislikes; they somehow cured my hatred of sandwiches! Their cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, and their product/service is just as good when you need to get some takeout. I have run in to grab a smoothie many times with no problems. The owners are always there with a smile and a kind greeting while they work. I would be reluctant to try this cafe because of the prices (if I had never gone before), so I would like to assure you that the cafe's transparency is part of their pattern of honesty and commitment to good food. I just listed my personal go-tos in the recommendations; realistically, I would...

Extremely disappointed, wanted to check out this coffee shop and support a local business. I went in looking for a little more information for the drinks they had to offer, I asked some questions and asked for a recommendation. However I was met with nothing but attitude and vague responses. It was disheartening considering I was excited to possibly find a coffee shop in my area that I could become a regular at. I am unsure what the persons problem with me was, because all I had done at that point was greet her kindly but it made me uncomfortable and unwanted at establishment. Based on their reviews I was excepting to be welcomed in with warmth however I was sadly mistaken , possibly symptom of a greater issue ???? (racism) because everyone else (who didn’t look like) who was there before and after me, was treated with wonderful service. The icing on the cake was that the drink I ordered was not good, extremely watered down and overpriced for the size. I won’t be back here, a terrible way to start off Black...

Upon relocating to the neighborhood, my roommate and I discovered the Grind Cafe. Despite the abundance of cafes in the area, this particular establishment had yet to grace our list. From the moment we stepped inside, Natalia and Greg greeted us with a warmth that made us feel instantly at home. The interior's charming trinkets, the array of community postings, the expansive windows, inviting outdoor seating, and the open kitchenette all contributed to an ambiance brimming with positive energy.

The culinary offerings are nothing short of delightful. The sandwiches, especially the Ham and Swiss pressed sandwich, stand out as personal favorites, providing a delectable treat between meetings. The black coffee, robust and perfectly brewed, complements the meal wonderfully. Additionally, the recent addition of protein powder to the menu has enhanced their offerings, providing an excellent post-workout beverage for those on the go. Kudos to Natalia and Greg for creating such a welcoming and vibrant...

I've been having breakfast at The Grind practically every day for the last two years. Even though I've tried the entire menu, I've never had a bad experience. The experience that Greg and Natalia — the business owners — bring from years of working in the food and beverage industry is fundamental to the quality of the service you get there. Having travelled to many places around the world and visited many coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants, I can say that the quality and dedication put into the preparation of the coffees and sandwiches is very high. If you're walking around and exploring St. Clair West, be sure to visit The Grind, it's a must for anyone who appreciates a good coffee and a good sandwich.

Wow! I went here for the first time rather than my usual spot and can tell you this is a gem. I went with the option of trying the avocado breakfast sandwich with a smoothie. Blew my mind! So perfect! Initially I was going for take out but changed my mind which made it a whole new experience. This is a cozy, warm and immaculately clean spot. Of course, great tunes!!! I will be back with more friends and family here. Go check for yourself as they are so welcoming and kind to everyone who comes in the door. Thank you so much for the high quality food, drinks, service and wonderful hospitality today! ✨

Best cafe in all of st.clair west to east. I’ve been coming here for 2 years. Their chicken pesto sandwich is amazing - I add avocado which I highly recommend because it tastes sooo good with it! I honestly cannot find another sandwich that tastes as great and as satisfying as this one - and with the salad too - delicious! The vibe is nice, great coffee and the patio is cozy- I can bring my dog to sit out with me there while I eat. Always delighted to see and chat with the owners. Definitely recommend my family and friends to have brunch or a date here.
