5 STAR - SERVICE EXCELLENCE! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

The Kettle: Where Fusion Flourishes and Hearts Are Nurtured

Step into The Kettle, a haven where the boundaries of culinary traditions are gracefully shattered. This remarkable restaurant, borne out of a friendship that flourished over shared passions, seamlessly melds Modern Indian Fusion cuisine with Canadian artistry. As you enter, be prepared to embark on a culinary journey that not only delights the taste buds but also touches the depths of your soul.

The magic of The Kettle extends far beyond the delectable dishes that grace its menu. It resides in the warmth and compassion exuded by the entire staff, from the cooks to the servers, each playing a vital role in crafting an experience that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. The extraordinary dedication and expertise of the chefs, led by a true culinary virtuoso, create a symphony of flavors that is nothing short of extraordinary.

Every visit to The Kettle is met with genuine care and empathy, as the staff understands that dining experiences are not just about the food, but also about the emotions and memories they evoke. Sana, Faiz, and the entire team work tirelessly to ensure that every guest feels seen, heard, and appreciated. They possess an innate ability to anticipate your needs, guiding you through the menu with compassion and attentiveness.

Now, let us delve into the realm of flavors that The Kettle so masterfully orchestrates. The dishes that grace their tables are a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs, whose artistry is matched only by their unwavering passion. Each plate that emerges from their kitchen is a work of art, thoughtfully crafted to ignite a symphony of sensations within you.

The first bite of the Masala Beef Fry unveils a medley of spices that dance upon your palate. It is a harmonious blend of traditional Indian flavors and Canadian influences, showcasing the brilliance of the fusion concept. The tender beef, lovingly prepared and infused with the essence of the spices, creates a melody that resonates deep within your taste buds.

The Kettle English Breakfast is a revelation, a homage to comfort and familiarity intertwined with bold creativity. As you savor each morsel, you'll discover a tapestry of flavors that evoke nostalgia while surprising your senses with innovative twists. It is a true testament to the chef's ability to balance tradition and invention, leaving you with a profound appreciation for their culinary artistry.

Prepare to be enchanted by the Kettle Challa Gulab Jamun French Toast, a dish that takes indulgence to new heights. The delicate slices of challah bread, soaked in a luscious Gulab Jamun syrup, create a symphony of sweet and savory that dances upon your tongue. The impeccable balance of textures and the nuanced interplay of flavors will transport you to a realm of pure delight.

And let us not forget the soul-soothing experience of The Kettle's signature Masala Chai Tea. With every sip, you can taste the dedication and love infused into each cup. The aromatic blend of spices, skillfully steeped, envelops you in a comforting embrace. It is a testament to the chef's ability to create a beverage that not only warms your body but also nourishes your spirit.

To the remarkable chefs behind the scenes, I offer my highest compliment. Your culinary expertise, innovation, and unwavering dedication to your craft are evident in every bite. The flavors you create are a testament to your artistry and your deep understanding of the connection between food and emotions. You have truly elevated the concept of fusion cuisine to a level that transcends expectations.

So, dear diner, I implore you to venture into the realm of The Kettle. Embrace the fusion that flourishes within its walls, and allow the compassion and empathy of its staff to envelop you. The Kettle is not just a restaurant; it is a sanctuary of flavors and emotions, where the remarkable staff nourishes both body and spirit. Let the fusion flourish, let your senses...

Came here a few weeks ago. The food was decent (though nothing special) but they overcooked both of our poached eggs so the yolks were firm and not runny, and they skimped on the hollandaise sauce. My friend asked what kind of coffee it was and was actually told it was instant coffee (for $6?! That's even expensive for real coffee), so she got expensive chai instead (also $6). Service was with a smile but weird. We had a 10:30am reservation and then at around 11:45am, a waiter brought us the bill before we asked for it and asked if he could clear our plates. Then a few minutes later, we were still there with our drinks and the waiter came back and literally asked us "politely" if we could leave because they had another reservation. The restaurant wasn't full and it wasn't even 12pm yet, so if their reservations are for only 1.5 hour timeslots (which we weren't informed about and most restaurants reserve you for 2 hours), being asked to leave before your time is actually up as if you're overstaying your welcome is totally inappropriate. It wasn't like we were lingering for too long because it wasn't even the full 1.5 hours yet. It was so incredibly rude that I don't plan to ever return. Service with a smile, but clearly it's fake? Also, they shouldn't be making reservations back to back for only 1.5 hours if they want to clean up in between, if that's why we were kicked out. What is this, a fast food restaurant? If you value what weekend brunch is usually about (leisurely catching up with friends over a nice meal) this place might not be for you. I forgave the overcooked eggs, lack of non-dairy milk options for coffee/tea (rare to not have this as an option downtown), and instant coffee for $6, but I won't be back because clearly we weren't actually welcome there. Overall experience and food was not worth the upscale brunch price.. our bill came to over $69 with tax and tip for two overcooked bennys with homefries, one chai, one tap water.. and being rudely kicked out in under 1.5 hours.

Edit after seeing their comment: I love how they try to deflect real feedback by claiming we were never there, rather than trying to do better in the future based on people taking the time to leave detailed feedback. I made up that photo I shared of the overcooked eggs and all the details in my review, right? LOL. You don't deserve my info because I am never returning. What a turnoff.. removed a...

UPDATE— April 6th 2025 Food is amazing here but the service this morning was awful! We were pushed out <1 hour after being seated because it got busy around brunch. Didn’t have a chance to order a sweet dish to finish the meal under the pretext that “the kitchen said no.” What a shame!! Used to really love this spot. Service really needs to be improved. —- Wow wow wow. If you’re looking for really great Indian food with a twist here and there, then look no further than the Kettle. I cannot wait to return!! The service and hospitality was exceptional. Everyone who works here is highly attentive. Solid 4.8 out of 5. Ordered: Samosa Chaat — delicious! Perfect mixture of savoury, tang, spice. Impeccable textures. There’s the crisp from the samosa shell and the sev and also the softness from the potatoes. Might try another Chaat next time. Masala Fish — this was one of the stars of the show!! The portion was enormous. Well worth the price. And just an amazing dish. Would highly recommend this as a must-try and would reorder this one next time. Smoked Chicken Curry with the Paratha — love that the curries come with paratha. So flakey soft and perfectly made. The curry had the right amount of kick. Would also consider this a must-try. Butter Chicken Burger — personally this was the only miss for me. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the Masala fish dish and the Butter Chicken Burger. I’d go with one or the other. The batter for the fish and chicken were very similar and the “slaw” / mayo mix in the burger was very similar to the one served with the masala fish. This would be my only critique of the entire experience. Also didn’t taste like butter chicken in my opinion. Nonetheless, I’d add that even the masala fries were amazing!! This is how good this place is. Gulab Jamun Cheesecake — another must-try. So so so delicious. It is sweet and would recommend to share for non-sweet tooths. My only note for this dish would be that I’d ask for no or less syrup drizzle next time. I believe this was for decorative purposes but it takes the dessert to another level of sweetness. Would still reorder next time. Masala Soda — I so enjoyed this drink! Such a perfect combination of saltiness, sweetness, and tanginess. Only critique would be to remove the lemon seeds from the lemon slice next time. All in all, this place is a solid 4.8 / 5 stars in my eyes. Portions are decent- not huge but good to share dishes. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Such great vibes. Great people. Really great music too! Would even recommend the lofi hindi tracks or Coke Studio version of Bollywood hits.
