Fresh 1 Market — Local services in Toronto

One of my favourite little markets. I love that they sell pre-cut fruits and veggies at a reasonable price ($2-5) in manageable portions (enough for 2 people). Which allows you to buy just enough and try new things. The staff are also super friendly and hardworking!

I usually get a tub of watermelon, pineapple, Honeydew and cantaloupe and Jack fruit because let's be real who is buying all of these whole fruits and taking the trouble of peeling and cutting them and having so much surplus!

Another item I love getting here is their Veggie stir-fry mix. Seeing as I'm only cooking for 2 people to buy all the ingredients would mean I would be forced to use them all or some ingredients would just go to waste.

What a great addition to the neighbourhood. Having opened in winter of this past year, Fresh 1 Market has been very health conscious abiding by protocols and kept their doors open as it dissipates the covid virus keeping everyone safe and secure from exposure.

Family owned small business excellent pricing on vegetables and fruit which includes fresh exotic fruit like jackfruit, coconut, lychee, avocados, etc. Vegetables are vast with a great array of leafy greens, to more fibrous vegetables like rapini, kale and collards.

You cannot go wrong if you need basics and essentials or want to spruce up your place with plants and flowers. It's lovely to see a small business like Fresh 1 Market give Loblaws some pause for concern. This market is exactly what the neighbourhood was craving and needed, grateful they are so close..Big shout...

This place is amazing. It has more than just fruits and vegetables. I love how they have so many random vegan options. You can also find some pretty good vegan cheeses in stock as well. I can always find what I need if I am missing something for an Asian recipe. They also sell a great selection of seeds from West Coast Seeds and Renee's Garden. Their plant selection in the spring/summer is great. They even have Venus flytraps for sale! Their little indoor plant section is small, but they really pack it in there. Sometimes I find really niche items you wouldn't find in any other grocery store (ex. Olipop soda). The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I love this store and will continue to shop here.
