If you like Perogies this place might be for you! We have been here a few times for lunch and all the experiences have been good. This visit was no different. My friend ordered the Perogies and I ordered the Liver and Onions! The Perogies apparently are perhaps the best ever tasted and that is saying something!! Excellent!! The Liver was also perfect, I realize this is an unpopular dish but none the less I like it and it was wonderful here!! Comes with a nice mash potato, veg and covered in delicious gravy! How can you go wrong?! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service quick. This Olive seems very popular with the Blue hair gang so its fairly quiet and reserved; certainly when I have been there no fights have broken out and no walking sticks have been thrown. Time was they were only open for breakfast and lunch; but now I see they offer dinner. I will have to return and try them out for dinner fair. So if you are in the area perhaps after a bit of Canadian Tire or Home Depot shopping and fancy a quick bite check it out you will not be disappointed!! My wife feels you should get the Perogies, myself I recommend the liver!!

This little family owned restaurant is a must must must visit if you're big on brunches, like me. We ordered Stir Fry with Onion Rings, Pancakes(Blueberry Choco chip) and Choco-Vanilla Milkshake. God! Were they lip-smacking. Let me elaborate for you 🤤 Stir fry had the right mix of veggies and cooked to the right level of softness with just enough sauce to have rice with🧘 (Magical, right?!) Onion rings were crisp and done to a perfection of medium brown😍 Pancakes were tender not gooey with a firm casing of berries and Choco chip to tantalize your taste buds. (I can see you salivating already)😂 The milkshake was bodacious! If I may say so. It was just right! 🥤🤤❤️❤️❤️ Just the right sweetness, had a nice texture of flavor and was a smooth gulp ✨ The potion size was enough for 3 people and their breakfast specialities are truly amazing. I'd give them 6 on 5 for service too. It was swift, friendly and they patiently waited for us to finish even past their closing hours. I'm definitely visiting again❤️ ~BonAppetit ~GoExplore

I went to The Olive last night for the first time with a friend... A coworker recommended this Restaurant, since The Q recently closed down for good, he said this would be a good alternative. Both my friend and I had the Ceasar Salad, it was okay, tasted a bit off though, and the croutons didn't taste that great. I had the ribs and wings combo, my friend the Chicken Parmigiana... my food was decent, but my friend did not enjoy the sauce with the pasta, I even tried some and it wasn't great... he ordered a plate of fries (which they didn't charge for), so that filled him up. I love Rice Pudding, so if it's on the menu, I need to try it... I did... it was actually pretty liquidy... and just tasted okay, nothing really spacial. I was really hoping that this would be the replacement for my friends and I to come to now that The Q is gone... but unfortunately not.

UNSANITARY NOT CLEAN. FELT SICK TO MY STOMACH I found hair in my potatoes, I didn't end up eating and just waited for my friend to finish. He chose not to eat the potatoes in his meal.

I wasn't compensated or told hey can we replace that for you, I didn't chose to overreact like the average person would. But that's a dirty hair strand in your food, thought it would never happen but I was wrong.

Old and outdated decor. Just overall a horrific experience.

They have video footage of the incident, I didn't even touch my food and clearly it was right in front of me. Not sure how waitress didn't see it. Felt like throwing up.

I wasted my time and money buying friend food here while I waited and did nothing. that's my experience. Also the bacon is cheap and the potatoes are horribly season and prepared. Wouldn't reccomend going here at all.

AS you can see the owner's response below, he didn't tell me to contact the location to receive my refund and instead escalated the situation by mentioning reviews on my profile that have nothing to do with their restaurant. My account is mainly for bad experiences, to warn people. I eat at many place but the service or food isnt even above par all the times so I write a review to help other people. Why would I not write other reviews to warn the public. You're reply shows how unprofessional your business is. You care more about being right and pointing fingers, I care more about people not having to have my horrible experience at the places I've dined at. Shame on you. Learn to run a business instead of trying to pick fights. You cant take criticism. Come to my house I will give you potatoes with my hair in it and thn tell you to put money in my pocket. Thn when you complain i will tell you that it's just a bad review and not compensate you. Look at your couple month old reply, I still remember the bad experience you dont. You need to try to not be bully and focus on what's more important customer service. That's why my reviews have over 30,000 views, it's to call call out bad businesses. Shame on you and your staff. I have 20 reviews over a 3 year span. Do the math that's almost 7 reviews a year and the average person eats out much more thn that....

I usually don't like giving negative reviews but hope that the owner and manager takes this as a learning opportunity. I arrived at the restaurant thinking quick simple place to get brunch. When I came in around 1:30 pm... no one even greeted me, I sat myself down and for 15 minutes no wait staff came by to my table. The restaurant maybe had not more than 10 peope so it was not even busy. I then grabbed a menu myself and when a waitress finally came by I had to flag her down... even other waitresses serving others made eye contact with me and no acknowledgment of my even existence... not even a friendly attitude. I get it that being a server is a tough job... but that is completely unacceptable as customers chose your establishment expecting at least some friendliness. Anyways I ordered a tradition breakfast... who can screw that up right? Well it was... 3 eggs were okay but the bacon was black and hard to chew. Also, it's supposed to include coffee as stated in their menu but they still charged me for it... I didn't have time to inquire as I had to get back to work so I let it go. Even when I paid... the waitress left the credit card machine with me so I waited for a few minutes for her to come back but then another waitress told me to leave the machine without even looking at me just kept walking on. I even left a good tip. I left thinking, "What did I do to upset these people?"... I was quiet the entire time and never even spoke rudely or showed any attitude. Again... this needs to be written so they can learn from it and treat their customers better. I will not be returning back to this restaurant... there are many better options in the area, especially being near the mall. I had wished I had gone to another restaurant where you get better food and service. Thank you for taking time reading...
