Southern Parkdale's long-time residents rejoiced when this lovely, affordable old-school diner re-opened post-"Harry's" (LOVED "Harry's Burgers" too!) in the capable hands of Penny and her family; it's my go-to restaurant (come 'Phase Three') for delicious breakfasts on-the-cheap, good company and cool people preparing your food with an eye for detail and value. I just picked up (phase two- COVID measures in place) a clubhouse sandwich with more Fantastic Fries than one person can eat: marvellous! Be sure to give them a ring on your way home from a day on the lakefront @ King St. W/Jameson, say hello and grab some amazing food on your way home :) ...located in the 'No-Frills' mini-plaza just west of Jameson @ King St. W

Good little spot. I didn't realize this location is where Harry's Charbroiled joint used to be... if it were me, I would advertise this to my advantage since HC had such a great rep. The somewhat smashed veggie burger w/cheese was pretty delicious... the fries were also good for frozen ....the frozen fries is the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars for Food bc I feel the extra work for fresh potatoes makes all the difference. Cozy atmosphere with old fashioned booths and nice wooden interior and classic signs. Really impressed with the low prices and great customer service. It was a packed house when we were there and our order was accidentally missed by the cook and took much longer than expected. The server took 50% off our whole bill, which was more generous than needed for the small inconvenience.
