I highly discourage anyone looking to buy tacos from Tres Compadres. This place is a joke.
I bought a couple "single serving" tacos for $6.75 per serving. When the term single serving is used, the standard is 3 tacos, however, for Tres Compadres it literally means 1 taco.
Are you kidding me, $6.75 for 1 taco?
I am Latino, I grew up eating well made tacos (at home and from the streets) and I can guarantee whoever is reading this that these tacos should NOT be worth $6.75.
I would not be as upset if the tacos were actually delicious and thoughtfully made. The corn tortilla looks, feels, and tastes the same as the Piaxtla corn tortillas that can be bought at No Frills ($2.79 for ~15 tortillas).
If you are going to charge $6.75 per taco at least make your own tortillas, they are easy to make. I am telling you from experience.
I did not find the size of the tortilla big enough to justify its price either. The amount of protein (chicken and fish tacos specifically) was average at most.
If you are looking to eat tacos here in Toronto, please stay away from Tres Compadres, unless you want to give away your money for mediocre food. There is a plethora of places with much cheaper, larger portions, and in my personal opinion more...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreYes tacos were best I had compared to many places but most outstanding part was the servers and manager here. My son was fussy coz he was hungry n famished after long day so I ordered only for him as I had already got my dinner packed. They were extremely courteous towards 10 year old cranky boy and once we were done and I ready to pay my Apple Pay was not going through. Same day I had lost my wallet and all my cards n cash so only thing I was relying on was Apple Pay and after 3 tries I knew I was in soup. I spoke to manager and was trying to explain my situation and shared I can get cash tomorrow and pay but before I could finish my thoughts, he interrupted me and said, I know what it feels like loosing your wallet. Please do not worry. I canāt tell you how he made me feel⦠without making a big deal he said itās on us. Take 2, three days later when I went back to pay him they didnāt accepted my cash. Take 3, post that every-time I want to eat Mexican I know where I will go. And their food is absolutely yummy!! He may not remember me but I will never forget their kindness. Must go n enjoy! Itās low key fun n easy place to hang out with friends. They have fun patio, roof top restaurant, amazing bartender and awesome music to...
