I came here with my girlfriend for lunch. As soon as we walked in, we were in love with the atmosphere, elegant but very cozy. They did an amazing job with the design. Just a few seconds after we were welcomed by our server, Tina, with a great smile and a vibrant personality. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, professional and she knew how to put up with our humor and requests lol Needless to say that the service was 20 out of 10, literally it couldn't have been any better, her menu suggestions were great and she was effortlessly fast. The food was A M A Z I N G! We chose to go with the lunch fix menu (drink, shaved fennel salad and a pizza of our choice - 25$.. yes out of this world for Toronto), and we add some apps and a dessert on top of that. The apps we chose were the beef carpaccio (mind blowing, we LOVED it) and the scallop crudo which was lovely as well. They were awesome, simple but you can tell that they were well thought. The flavors were clean and very well balanced, you could enjoy every part of the dish. After we had our salads, these as well were very balanced and tasty. Before I go ahead and talk about the pizza, I want to make sure to also express that the food, not only tasted awesome but it also looked great. As born and raised Italian, and also as an ex chef, I can tell you this about the PIZZA = this in my opinion is the best pizza in Toronto hands down. This is as close as you can get to what pizza in Italy is like. The dough was PHENOMENAL, tasty, fragrant, and it was NOT chewy like most of the pizzas you eat here in Toronto. You could tell that whoever is making the pizza dough knows what they are doing and that they do it with passion. The pizza maker that was working that day did an incredible job at stretching, cooking and topping the pizza. It was flawless. The pizza options offered in the menu are awesome. My girlfriend got the pizza called "Salsiccia" and I got the one called "Wise guy". We loved them. Great ingredients and again, super tasty! We will absolutely come back very soon to try more dishes! Overall experience 100 out of 10. (Yes one hundred)

This restaurant has so much potential, it could be amazing but it needs a lot of work. Service was one of the worst I had in the city. Felt like we were begging to be served. Place is very loud which impacts the service. We ordered appetizers which were really good, pizza and two pastas. The pizza came super fast and it was good (similar to the previous restaurant in this location), but then the pasta took an HOUR to be served, and we only received one of the pastas we ordered. The ravioli was good but missing something. At that point we were so tired of waiting that we didn’t even ask for our second pasta so my boyfriend literally never got his dish. Ask for the bill and of course there were two pastas there BUT the wrong pasta. He had ordered bolognese and the bill showed carbonara. A complete mess, which now we understand why when we got there, the table we booked was still busy. Furthermore this mess with the service made us not feel too safe in relationships to our allergies as it felt like they did not care about the customer and were pretty reckless when it comes to the food. Overall if they had a better service I would give a 4 or 5 star but the service really impacts the food and experience , and for the price point it should be better. Food: 4/5 Ravioli was good but needs a better presentation and the sauce could be smoother Pizza had a great crust Olives and focaccia were delicious

We had an absolutely fabulous time here, and I highly recommend! We were coming from out of town for a concert at History, and originally were going to eat somewhere else near the ROM. However, we decided it would be nice to be in the same neighborhood as the venue, so we ended up here instead. Much has been said of the food (on its own, 5 stars!) but I’m specifically feeling compelled to write this review because of the fabulous zero-proof cocktails we enjoyed. Neither my partner or I drink much and originally weren’t going to order more than water as I didn’t see any zero proof options listed (I could have missed it). But upon asking they mentioned they had two options, we got both of them and they were delicious - without a doubt some of the best zero proof cocktails we’ve ever had. Aside from this, the staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice for a date night spot, and all of the food came out *piping* hot. The kind of hot where you have to actively wait for it to cool down. And even after, you’re still finding pockets of heat tucked in. This is hard to pull off at a restaurant and one of my favourite things! Already looking forward to my next concert at History (whenever that may be), so I have another excuse to come by. Thanks for having us!

This is a repost of my review on Open Table. : While the pizza was great, and pasta acceptable, the service and lack of care was disgraceful for an establishment that deludes itself into thinking it can be called fine dining. I had marked down that this was a special occasion, a birthday, online and I mentioned it in person, with the hope that my loves special day would be filled with care and consideration; to put it simply, it was not. It wasn’t recognized or considered, at all by anyone. So, fine, we move forward with ordering, after barely being serviced in the 20 minutes of us being there, getting a starter, mains and a glass of wine for my partner. The “glass” was nothing more than a shot, I don’t know how you’d classify it. 2oz? 1? Absolutely ridiculous and for the price? I would get better service at a hole in the wall pizza place than I did here. After our measly taste of wine, we received our food. The pizza, as stated was great, no complaints but the pasta was a little watery. Not too bad. However, we were then never serviced for another 30 minutes. No one came by to refill water, refill the wine, ask how things were, clean the dishes. While every other table was being serviced, the table next to us getting huge glasses of the same wine poured for them, waited on hand and foot, we were abandoned. Eventually I just had to get up and grab one of the servers to get the bill. Thinking that because I put on the reservation however that it was my partners birthday, and that even the most mundane corporate restaurants will do something to celebrate, I was expecting anything at all to celebrate, even if it was added to my bill! I would’ve happily paid. But nothing, was handed the bill and shuffled out. One of the most disappointing eating experiences in Toronto. Put a dampening on the entire occasion and I most definitely will never be returning here or recommending anyone here as long as I live. Completely and...
