Update:
Went there recently for the first time after management changed. We could tell and detect the changes they made in the flavor as well as in the quality of the food. Very disappointed and heartbroken. First off the bread was different from the one the original owner used, not only that, the spices they used for flavoring the chicken was completely different from their original recipe. It felt like a desi twist had been added and they were very heavy handed on the paprika ! and omg the fries ! They've switched to frozen fries from the original version of this combo ! Like we can totally tell and differentiate from the original recipe! We were regulars, once every month, sometimes twice a month , we would order a Sando ! So to us this management change brought nothing but disappointment! Please please bring the original flavor back or train under Alex to get it right ! What a disservice to the original chef who conceptualized this whole recipe and made it happen. Won't be coming back till they learn to get it right ! Extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of their Sando.

We've been consistently going back to Sandos every month or so because our first few experiences with it were the absolute best. What we've come to notice is when there's a different chef making these sandos, inconsistencies have arisen where the fried chicken was either over fried, or the fries were few and not fresh with the seasoning all light or heavy. It's only when Alex, the chef and recipe maker, is there that we have found the sandos to be their absolute best!! I hope they train their staff to eliminate such inconsistencies because it doesn't make for a happy experience. Our most recent trip to Sam's ended up in us getting hugely disappointed as the fried chicken was over cooked, their signature pink sauce looked and tasted like it had coagulated and their fries tasted not so fresh. Unfortunately taking one star off because of the inconsistencies we experienced. Will only be going there to order Sandos when Alex is cooking there!

Absolutely love their Sandos! We've tried their hot chicken sando (regular and deluxe both) with fries and their Japanese chicken nanban Sando with fries. Their hot chicken Sando (regular) is delicious! Out of all the sandos we tried this is our favorite! You have to be careful of the spice levels though. They mean it when they say it's spicy. We love our spices and find the medium spice level to be what we can enjoy. Their hot chicken Sando (deluxe version) is exactly the same as their regular one in quantity and taste. The ONLY miniscule difference is that there's additional cheese in this one. Their Japanese chicken nanban Sando was a disappointment. Personally I did not enjoy it at all. I had to add my own sauces to it at home to make it taste good. It was not crispy and it was very tangy. Not spicy either. The slaw inside this Sando had cilantro stalks which were not at all nice to eat. A huge disappointment. On another note, their fries are divine! Well seasoned and fried to perfection! If you want to get your money's worth I would highly recommend their regular hot chicken Sando with their classic hot mayo sauce. I prefer their mayo sauce over their pink sauce. Their pink sauce is a bit sweet to taste. Their staff is courteous and polite. Always welcoming. Have been going to them for quite some time now and will continue ordering from them in the...
Read moreWe had the HOT Sando and it was delicious. An above average sandwich that will definitely satisfy all fried chicken cravings. The coating was crisp. The spicy was really good. I ordered a medium spice with the top spice powder on the side. Definitely think twice before the top spice. I loved it personally but very few can handle it.
I loved their sauce game. There’s around 10 different kinds of sauces. I put spicy Mayo on my sandwich and on the side, I had the Sam’s super sauce which was purple and somewhat sweet (made from dragon fruit). I prefer spicier sauces so I liked the Mayo more.
There are a few reasons, however that it doesn’t fall into my top 3 Fried Chicken Sandwiches in Toronto.
I didn’t like that it comes between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. That’s a bit of an overload for me. I asked the employee why and his answer was that they couldn’t directly compete with another restaurant in the same plaza; I think it’s a legal requirement. So they had to make something unique. While that’s fair, I’m a traditionalist and a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich just needs simple condiments, so that its flavor is not overpowered.
That, along with the fact that it comes out to $19.50 + tax for it was a little steep, but you also get a fries with it. Ends up being a pretty heavy meal though.
EDIT: They now have a regular Chicken Sando. It comes between 2 Garlic Toasts., so it’s slightly more traditional. It comes with a whole load of fries!
If you’re looking for more of chicken, you can buy a huge Nashville Chicken Thigh piece for $11.50. They also have a superb combo deal for $33 which has 2 Nashville Chicken Thighs, 4 Tenders, 2 Wings, lots of Fries, Large Coleslaw and 2 Sauces. It’s a lot for that great price and will easily feed 3-4 people.
Their fries are also amazing. They are Costco fries and they add dill and I think some lemon salt. Delicious.
Ribs were good too.
For dessert, we had the Icecream pie; it’s mango flavor. It’s more of a custard tart than an icecream. You get 2 small ones for $4. It was good but probably not worth a repeat.
Also, everything is halal, for those that have...
Read moreIf you’ve ever craved a late-night meal that truly delivered on flavor, Uncle Sal’s Hot Chicken was the place to be. Open till 3 AM, this Scarborough gem served up bold flavors, legit spice levels, and some of the juiciest chicken and brisket sandwiches around. Their Ramadan special was a must-try, offering two fully loaded sandos with drinks, or a fries bowl combo featuring either crispy chicken or melt-in-your-mouth brisket over perfectly golden fries.
The chicken sando was everything you want in a spicy chicken sandwich: crispy, juicy, and drenched in their signature homemade sauces. The beef brisket sando was equally impressive, with slices of brisket that had been smoked on a real smoker, giving them a rich, deep flavor with just the right amount of char. Each bite was smoky, tender, and bursting with that slow-cooked goodness.
The fries bowls? Next level. The Dirty Fries came topped with crispy, seasoned chicken pieces, while the Brisket on Fries was loaded with juicy, smoky brisket that soaked into the fries for the perfect bite. It was the kind of messy, indulgent meal that hit all the right spots.
The homemade sauces elevated everything. The pink sauce - a garlicky, peppery mayo blend - was smooth and flavorful, adding a creamy contrast to the spice. The hot mayo with Jamaican pepper delivered a fiery kick that lingered in the best way. And for those who felt brave, their spice levels ranged from mild heat to Carolina Reaper madness.
Everything was HALAL and nut-free, making it a great option for diverse dietary needs. And the milkshakes? Thicker than a winter sweater and the perfect way to cool down after all that heat.
