Willy's Jerk — Restaurant in Toronto

I would not give this place a half of star but unfortunately I had to choose something, this place doesn’t even deserve one. First off the lady with the glasses at the front is very rude and doesn’t have any customer service skills.I have been going there for a long time now mainly for the breakfast but I decided to get some stew peas one day and it was the biggest mistake, all I got was bone and when I called to complain the rude lady was nasty so I left it alone and I didn’t go back for a long time. In December of 2023 I decided to get a soup and some ackee and salt fish before work, I didn’t get to eat the ackee and salt fish at work so I ate it when I got home, the taste was good but I found hair in my food. I know it wasn’t mine because my hair is red and straight and the hair in my food was black and curly. I called to let them know that it’s unacceptable and something needs to be done but the woman who answered the phone didn’t care and kept telling me that I should call their head office, I even stopped by to show her the picture that I took and nothing, all she kept saying was call the head office. These people are so rude and they really don’t care about their customers, I read a lot of the reviews and not one of their response was to compensate anyone. I’m done with this place and I would never recommend...

I have been purchasing dinner, lunch, and etc from this location for the past few years, and today I would have to say i had the waste experience.

After a long day at work i decided to stop by and get myself the usual large fry chicken dinner...

The lady at the front was not welcoming, she had a Cranky facial expression, even to the point where in the gentleman that order after me greeted her and asked. How are you? She never responded, but instead WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ORDER in a rude manner.

Anyhow, let me get to the point as to why I am writing this review. I ordered a large fry chicken, she rang me up for a curry chicken instead, then tried to pass it off as if I ordered the wrong thing, so I corrected her by nicely telling her that I ordered a fry chicken dinner and not curry.

As she went into the back, we the three customers over heard the chef advising her to lock the door because he can not deal with this, and that she should ensure there is no more order for the night.

The chef said: lock the door, no more food for the day, just lock the door so there is no more confusion about who order what, no more people.

That kind of behavior needs to be corrected because this reflects poorly on the Jamaican culture, as if we do not know how to operate in a...

The lady who works in the front is very rude. I visit almost everyday, I would go in and greet her warmly and tip very generously my first tip was $25 just hoping that she would at least be professional. Several times they messed up something but since I don't want to them to spit in my food I take it with a smile. Last week I went there got the wrong order. I don't eat curry so I gave it to a co- worker and went back to get what I wanted, this time I opened the bag to check what I received and low and behold it was wrong a gain. I kindly said to the lady there seems to be a mistake with my order, I ordered fry chicken not curry; she tried to tell me that I ordered curry both times. Instantly, she became aggressive and said they don't have any more fry chicken. So walked out. The woman with the glasses is obviously the owner and she doesn't care about customer service. I wonder why I put up with this so long. I guess you have to be ok with being treated like your begging or bothering someone to eat from this restaurant. Very sad that this has to happen in a Jamaican restaurant because I don't get this treatment at other Jamaican restaurants.
