3 stars for the following reasons: Cons:
I asked for Dijon mustard and I didn't notice that their Dijon was the whole grain type, they put so much of it on my burger that it over took any other favours
Cleanliness can be improved but it's not offensively dirty
Expect to wait at least 15 mins for your food, quite a bit of waiting time for just burgers and poutine
We paid 30$ for 2 burgers, a small poutine and a coke
Pros: The portion size is massive, so basically you're paying extra for the portion size but I would not say you're paying more for better tasting burgers.
2 people can easily share a small poutine alone if you're not starving or a large if you're more hungry.
I would not come here for the burgers, the fries/poutine yes I would but next time I'll ask for no spices on the fries.
They have a nice patio outside with some nice lights...what I think is worth coming here for is an experience of eating outside on the patio. If you come alone or with your partner and share an order of fries/poutine with some on tap beer while sitting on the patio 🍻 that's a nice experience to have at Woody's while still being somewhat inexpensive. The small poutine is 5.95$, I couldn't find any pricing for the beer at the restaurant but if I assume around 10$. For 2 people, that's not too bad.
Basically I wouldn't come her for burgers expecting amazing flavours. If that's what you want, I'd recommend burgers priest. Juiciest burger I've ever had but not has big portions. If you want a fun outing with some drinks and minimal food this is a...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place during my search for a restaurant that serves bison burgers, since I've been craving them a lot ever since I tried it for the first time at a place in Blue Mountain. I absolutely loved it's ambience and decor, which was really chilled with a patio and only a few tables inside and a wooden interior. I also loved their open kitchen, which makes you more hungry as you wait for your burger to be made. Since there were only a few tables inside I wonder how they would manage during the winter. At this time the restaurant was packed and we luckily got a table. They had a minimum selection of burger options, compared to somewhere like The Works, however they were pretty imaginative, such as the Tokyo burger (which I ordered). So I opted for the Tokyo burger with a bison patty because it contained pickled ginger, which I am obsessed with. My friend got the Tandoori burger with 50/50 fries (half white and half sweet potatoes). The tandoori burger is meant to have a chicken patty but was substituted for a veggie patty. We were given a buzzer which would go off when our food is ready. 10 minutes later we got our call and had to go back to the front so that we can choose additional topping, which were with no additional cost (unless we wanted the premium toppings). The burgers were a good size, typical of a gourmet style burger. The bison was incredible and the veggie burger was good too, but apparently not as good as The Works veggie patty. Probably because the veggie patty here was more of a vegetable based, rather than the soy kind, so it didn't have that meat feeling. The prices were incredibly affordable compared to usual gourmet burger joints and the service was extremely friendly. I would definitely go again and understand why there is such...
Read moreI have come to this location quite a few times and everything was great. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Recently, I went over the weekend the customer service with the line cook and the girl with pink hair was so unprofessional and rude. I ordered a small half & half (fries & onion rings) I open mine & my boyfriend box we both had three onion rings EACH. As we were waiting the cook gave the girl with the pink hair a whole box of onion rings in front of us!!! And said it was for her sister? How do you give a paying customer 3 onion rings but a whole box of onion rings to the worker? I went back to complain about the three onion rings the girl with the pink hair continued to argue with me & had the nerve to tell me she can charge me more for onions rings if I wanted. Then explained a small box only comes with 4 rings (well I think there should be a sign stating such information no way your charging almost 5 dollars for a small box of half & half that only come with 4 rings) after I said no you literally have a whole box of onion rings the line cook gave you in front of us. I asked for my missing 2 onion rings. Which she did give me after her arguing with me for five minutes instead of trying to solve the problem. As a worker why are you giving food that people pay for in front of the customers. This is not about the problem this is about the principal. The arguing back-and-forth telling me I can pay for more onion rings was so appalling to me. I don’t know if she thought I was some kid that didn’t know anything, but this is how how to go about solving...
