Wow Wing Spot on College offers a saucy and substantial experience for wing enthusiasts, accompanied by a side of mixed feelings about their fries. The allure of this establishment lies in its promise of delivering generous portions of flavorful wings, ensuring that patrons leave with satisfied appetites.
The highlight of Wow Wing Spot undoubtedly rests on its saucy and bold wing offerings. The menu boasts a diverse selection of sauces, each one contributing to a unique and tantalizing flavor profile. From the fiery and intense to the tangy and savory, there's something to suit every preference. The wings themselves are sizable and succulent, coated in an ample amount of sauce that adds a mouthwatering punch to each bite.
In terms of portion size, Wow Wing Spot doesn't disappoint. The generous serving of wings ensures that diners get their fill and then some. It's an establishment that takes pride in delivering a hearty meal that satisfies even the heartiest of appetites, making it an appealing choice for those craving a substantial wing feast.
However, while the saucy wings take center stage, the experience with the fries at Wow Wing Spot can be a bit hit or miss. The mixed nature of the fries, both in terms of size and quality, can leave patrons with a sense of inconsistency. Some might find the fries satisfyingly crisp and well-seasoned, while others might encounter fries that are less remarkable and lacking the same level of attention to detail as the wings.
Despite this minor drawback, Wow Wing Spot remains a destination for those seeking a saucy and substantial wing experience. The flavorful wings and ample portions make it a go-to spot for indulging in a satisfying wing feast. While the fries might not always steal the show, the star of the show—the wings—more than make up for any minor...
Read moreMost importantly the wings are good, really good even. I’d give this place 5 stars normally based on the quality alone but if you’re the type of person to read reviews I hope I can help avoid the shortcomings of a really good wing place.
These guys tote a whopping 100+ wing flavours broken down into 3 categories and I think it’s safe to say people are going to have questions about those flavours. The staff didn’t know what was on their menu. Personally I’m one of those guys that goes for the hottest wings possible but the subcategory of “creamy” wings caught my attention as they had a flavour called “van’s favorite” with an exorbitant amount of chili peppers next to it to let you know it’s very spicy. I asked the cashier what exactly the creamy wing category means, does it have lactose in the sauce? Do they just add a bunch of butter to it? (Would have been pretty stoked if that’s the case) the cashier just said, “they just add more sauce”. Not fully understanding but still curious I ordered the wings. Sure enough it wasn’t just “they add more sauce” there’s an entirely different white sauce they drizzle on top of the tossed and sauced wings with diced onion over the whole package. The wings were pretty spicy so I couldn’t pick out exactly what the white sauce was but I’d say some sort of garlic mayo/ranch. They tasted very good! I was just a bit confused.
I had also taken the wings to go and walked about 10/15 minutes to a park to enjoy them as the restaurant itself isn’t much of a marvel to hang out in. Very basic store front with a TV playing CP24. The wings held up fantastically after the walk. Crispy fried outside (even with all the sauce) juicy chicken inside.
You’ll probably need to order a couple times to find your favourite perfect order but can’t go wrong with the quality...
Read moreSome of the best wings available downtown.
Had a colleague continuously recommend me this spot for some time, and I finally had the opportunity to come here. This place, especially their downtown special (around $15+tax), are really budget friendly but does not sacrifice in terms of quality.
There’s a lot of wing spots in Toronto who push deals on wings but lacking in terms of taste and meat quality, I feel that Wow Wing House might just be my current favourite spot for takeout wings now. They have a vast selection of various wing flavours, my friend went with jerk and I took the employee’s recommendation of the Hot Garlic Parm.
I really enjoyed the Jaffna fries, their fry quality was really good and it offers this supreme fries sort of experience. Employees and service are both great, and even with ordering food within the last 30 minutes of open and still got server really well made wings and fries. The location does have indoor dining tables to eat there, with a very simple takeout wing spot vibe.
One nitpick I have is that the “hot” option for sauces is usually just a regular buffalo hot wing covered with the mentioned sauce (i.e. hot “garlic parm”), I would instead rather have the spicy element mixed into the...
