Fresh Bread, Supports Small Brands, and has a great selection of Drinks available!
I have walked by Finch Store many times and never gone in. I vaguely knew they had coffee, but besides that, this was all I knew.
My friend and I decided to come here one day and I was greatly pleased. There are so many more items here than I realized. They have fruit, fresh bread, frozen foods, teas, and so much more! They also make a wide variety of drinks! Such as different types of coffee, teas. They also make hot chocolate. I like to think this store is a mix of a grocery store and a cafΓ© shop, which I love.
The one downside is the lack of seating available. They have seating inside but only one seat. The rest is outside, which includes two benches. Don't let this deter you from coming here; just keep that in mind. Just in case there isn't a seat available and it's a nice day, there are also benches at a school nearby called Central Toronto Academy, it's around two blocks from Finch Store.
Finch Store also has a lot of smaller food companies for their products, which I love. They have some bigger known food companies, but the majority of products they have are supporting smaller ones.
The people who work here are fabulous and very friendly! Some information I learned from them (that I want to put into this review) is that:
~ They have fresh bread every day made from a small company (which is likely a local company nearby).
~ They also have day-old bread, which is discounted.
~ The bread they have isn't your regular everyday bread. The loaf I got has bacon in it!
I will definitely be coming here again as I really...

I was impressed by the bright, clean decor with shelves of food items, locally sourced. I no longer want to support the big grocery chains and will pay a bit more to ensure small businesses return after this awful pandemic. The prices are very reasonable, considering many of the brands are gourmet and contain all-natural ingredients. For me, spending a bit more for what I put in my body, and supporting local vendors, is a winning combination.
Here are a few of the items I picked up on a cold wintry day,. They carry frozen dinners and General...

What is wrong with Toronto they gave her the go ahead to sell coffee in her store - we are in tough times let people make a living in this tough horrible city we live in. I went to Dewson school across from that shop and it was our little candy shop for kids to buy candies 4 for 1 penny...such memories. Let them live on for future locals. This City planning and staff are making things difficult i would sign the petition in a minute - difficult for me to get there I am now 85 years old and lived on...
