Yang's Braised Chicken Rice(North York) — Restaurant in Toronto

I go here a lot. I have autism and ADHD. My husband told me like 3 years ago that I should try new things, I tried this and a few other places and I haven't ever been hooked like this for food. I love the food. I read another comment about the "blonde" server being bad. If it's the one lady I am thinking about, she is one of the hardest workers there. Every time I come in she has everything ready including the machine to pay, I love her for this. Honestly the person with the one star review probably was rude to her and she was just being flat. Have you tried being nice to the servers instead of feeling and treating people with entitlement. All that to the side. I love their hours of operation. How is the food? for food I am struggling between giving a 3 star or a 4 star, for me personally is a high 3 low 4, so I’ll just provide 4. I think their side dish is really tasty, but their main dish is okay, I didn’t really enjoy how the rice taste. The main dish you could choose from two different type, one is boneless and the other with bone, then you can choose spiciness level, I would say just go for the most spicy one, it is not that spicy. finally, you have the option to pick add-ons to the main dish which cost more money. the portion is already pretty big so I feel like you don’t need add-ons.

How is the service? service is good, they don’t accept credit, so make sure you bring cash or debit card

Would I recommend? on an occasional basis yes, they are interesting to try, but I probably wouldn’t go...

I used to be a big fan of Yangs and used to bring guests, friends, visitors all the time to try their hidden secret - The Delicious Braised Beef. It was literally soo good and their no.1 item. It had great depth of flavour, the meat was succulent and very fatty - the mushroom where great and paired with the rice- heavenly!

They decided to remove the braised beef and it just feels diabolical. Theft even. The beef with potato exists but it’s literally soo bad compared to the original braised beef. Literally why would they discard their no.1 product on uber?? Do you guys need help?

Even the quality of the braised chicken has become really poor. Maybe they changed the recipe or the chef because the depth is flavor is completely gone. What a sad end to a good restaurant.
