I recently visited Noodle Legend and was very impressed. Their menu was simple, and we ordered Beef Entrails Noodles and their Signature Noodles. Most of the noodles were the same price, which made things simple for me. I wished they had numbers next to each dish to make ordering easier. Choosing between thin and thick noodles was a nice touch, although the thin noodles were quite thick, as thick as udon noodles. The food arrived quickly, and both dishes were delicious. The Beef Entrails Noodles had a great mix of ingredients without any strange smells, and just the right amount of spice. Although I found the dish a bit salty when I got to the soup, the noodles and toppings were perfect on their own. The Signature Noodles had everything I loved from a Chinese noodle shop, with a good portion size that left me satisfied. But I might order some appetizers next time to see how they taste. The vibe of the place was lively, well-lit, and not too crowded. I was impressed by the service; despite being busy, the staff was attentive and made sure we were happy with our meals. They even checked if my dish was too salty and kept our water refreshed, which made me feel well taken care of. A unique touch was the disposable apron provided to keep our clothes clean. Some people might say the use of single-use utensils might not be environmentally friendly, I liked them because they were very clean. The cleanliness extended to the washroom, which was surprisingly well-maintained for a small place. I'm giving Noodle Legend a 5-star rating not just for the tasty noodles but for the whole experience - the clean setting, simple menu, and attentive staff. They're currently offering a 10% discount, which was a nice bonus. I'd recommend the Signature Noodles to anyone, and for those looking for something bold, the Beef Entrails Noodles. I would love to go back for another quick, delicious...
Read moreSaw a line for cheese garden 6th anniversary promo and decided to get some noodles here instead.
It's a clean place with nice decor. Really got that casual "drop in for quick lunch" type of feel.
There's a menu on the wall that's all in Chinese, but they have english translations on their paper menu.
Note that there are additional items on the paper menu that are handwritten, without English translations, and added as small stickers such as their rou jia mo which I guess people call a Chinese burger. Literally wouldn't know unless you can read it, asked about the stickers, or saw someone ordering.
They specialize in noodle, as the name suggests. I got the anhui beef pan mee. The amount of beef is non existent, but the noodles are good.
What I suggest is to order a rou jia mo for 5.99 if you have a dining partner or two and split it. The amount of meat in there is like 5x what you get in the noodles.
The service is quite nice. They have staff pulling up stools for you to put your jacket on and does water refills. Honestly wasn't expecting something like this so it's a quite interesting.
Giving it a 5 star despite the menu situation. Personally I find it kind of amusing although it's understandable if you can't read it or think it's...
Read moreIt has been a long time when trying a new restaurant causes me to feel that a 5 star review simply won't do my experience justice.
Service is fantastic, efficient and the staff are lovely. The space is small, but bright and spotless. I've easily seen less effort put in at higher tier restaurants, so the standards here really impressed me. I also really enjoyed the fact that (per the staff), their menu pulls dishes from several regions in China, rather than focusing on just one. It lets someone like me get some special exposure to foods that I may have never had the chance to try otherwise.
I had the beef brisket soup and was simply....Mind blown. Firstly, the portions are very generous for the price and are filled to the brim with toppings before one opts any extra addons. The broth had such a bold yet nuanced and deep, deep flavour. The hand pulled noodles were no slouch either. If anyone reading this happens to find themselves picky about texture and mouthfeel where noodles are concerned need to give this place a try.
I can't wait to come back and keep doing so till I've enjoyed every single dish...
