The staff are not trained well. Didn't even know the names of the Gelato. First staff who scooped my Gelato made a mistake in flavour but he scooped a good amount. I waited a very long time to tell someone that the order was wrong since all the staff were in the kitchen and no one was out to face any customers. The cashier didn't know anything about the flavours and he looked terribly confused when I told him about their mistake. I don't think he understoof English well. He gave me a new cup after having waited 20 min but the quantity was half the original one. Gelato was packed poorly and there was so much empty space in the cup. And they took the first cup away. I might as well just kept the first cup if I knew the new cup was not even half the original amount I was supposed to get for 12 bucks. Wasted time and money by their terrible service. Their black sesame was too salty to be a gelato
Also, M cha bar's pop-up at CN Blue's concert was a mess too. I told the person taking order and person making the order twice each that I want crystal boba to be replaced by regular tapioca and they nodded and even repeated after my request, cross-confirming. But my 11 dollar bbt cup had crystal boba and I had other friends waiting for me so I just had to leave. I don't think their staff in general speak English well. Always so hard to communicate basic...
Read moreUpdated: I've visited a few more times since my last review and haven't encountered any issues with long wait times. The drinks have also been consistently good (the peachy dream and brown sugar milk tea have been my favourite). Overall I'd recommend coming here!
Previous (Sept): I want to give this place a higher rating because both the drinks and gelato here are quite good, but it seems like they have a lot to figure out in terms of service. I’ve been wanting their peachy dream drink after trying it the first time I visited, but my last two visits it’s been sold out. I decided to try again a third time earlier today, but the wait ended up being absurdly long. It looked somewhat busy (although not busier than other bubble tea shops) but I wasn’t in a rush, so I waited. I ended up waiting at least 30 minutes only to find out the drink I wanted was sold out again. There were also multiple people around me asking for their drinks because they had been waiting 30-40 minutes - that’s wayyyy too long for anyone to wait for bubble tea or gelato.
I hope they figure things out because I do like their drinks, but I’ll be waiting awhile before giving them another shot, and I definitely won’t be going in if...
Read moreEdit: I appreciate the response below and followed up with it — the experience I came back for was much better (the mentioned changes were implemented) and the gelato I got was a noticeably better size this time. Service was sincere and the milk candy gelato was delicious. The flavour selection was very limited at the time however and I found a lot of tiny fibrous dust on the bottom of the cup but overall I feel it’s fair to change my rating to a better score. Highly appreciated!

I’ve been here multiple times when this place first opened, the staff back then were super friendly and the drinks were great. However today I decided to try the gelato and I’m shocked how little you get for $10. I have no issues paying that price for some quality gelato but this is a disappointingly small cup. Trust me, it’s smaller than the photo makes it look. The taste doesn’t justify the price if you ask me, I’ve had better in a lot of other places in the city.
Service was a bit awkward. I’m pretty sure I asked for 2 flavours but only got one. Didn’t realize until after I left.
Can’t say I recommend this place. What a shame, honestly. This place is close to my work and I was hoping I’d be able to come back...
