Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at The famous Owl of Minerva Restaurant in north york with a friend, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were greeted with a warm smile from the staff, who made us feel right at home. The inviting atmosphere, combined with the friendly service, set the stage for what would be a memorable meal.

We decided to order two traditional Korean dishes: Gamjatang (pork bone soup with potatoes) The Gamjatang was rich and hearty, filled with tender pieces of pork and perfectly cooked potatoes, all simmered in a flavorful broth that left us wanting more. NEVER AGAIN I NOR MY FAMILY GOING BACK THERE TO SUPPORT THAT RESTAURANT!!!! OWNER IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE RETRAIN YOUR WAITRESS. EXTREMELY RUDE AND LACK OF COMPREHENSIVE TO UNDERSTAND ENGLISH AND LASHED OUT ON CUSTOMER. MIND YOU ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS. BUT AFTER THAT DAY I WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. THAT DAY WAS A LONG WEEKEND BUT THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL ONLY 2 TABLES OCCUPIED OUR TABLE WAD 5 PEOPLE OTHER TABLE WAS 3 PEOPLE. ON THAT DAY WE OREDED 5 COURSE AND ONE OF THEM IS SPICY RICE CAKE. PERHAPS THE RICE CAKE WAS SITTING ON THE POT TOO LONG IT WAS SO SOGGY (NOT CHEWY) IT WAS SO BAD. MIND YOU OUR FAMILY HAVE ALSO ORDER THAT WHENEVER WE GO THERE AND HAVE NEVER COMPLAINT. THAT DAY WE ASKED IF WE CAN GET THE REPLACEMENT OF NEW BOILED RICE CAKE (WHICH ARE ONLY FEW PIECE) THE WAITRESS WAS SO RUDE THAT SHE YELLED AT US AND SAID NO NEW ONE. NO REFUND. WE DID NOT ASK FOR A NEW DISH WE ONLY ASK FOR FEW NEW BOILED BUT THE WAITRESS WAS RELUCTANT TO HELP AND OFFER NO SOLUTION KEPT SAYING NO TAKE BACK NO REFUND BUT WE DID NOT ASK FOR REFUND. SHE LASH OUT ON US AND MAKING US LOOK SO STUPID AND SO EMBARRASSED IN FRONT OF OTHER. HER LACK OF ENGLISH SKILL IS PREVENTING HER TO UNDERSTAND AND WITHOUT FULLY UNDERSTANDING THE CUSTOMER SHE JUST SIMPLY LASH OUT ON US. RIDICULOUS!!! I ALSO ASK TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER AND SHE SAID NO.
