Bukz — Restaurant in Town of Sylvan Lake

Stopped by with the missus to have food after spending an afternoon at Sylvan Lake. The Lakeshore strip can get busy, and finding a restaurant can get challenging during the busy season (summers).

Being extremely hungry, we decided to order food even though there was grime on the table. You can't expect cleanliness at this restaurant. We were served by Asher and informing him that the cup was dirty in which water was served. I requested a clean cup with cold water, but the request was never fulfilled.

We ordered Buks Babe Lemonade, BBQ Hot Wings, Spicy Chicken Taco Salad, and Philly Chicken Skillet. The food was served 50 minutes after the order was taken. It is fair to say that the service was beggarly poor. The cocktail tasted like cough syrup and had the minutest amount of alcohol in it. The Philly Chicken Skillet had no seasoning, and in the Spicy Chicken Taco Salad, instead of Tacos, they served Doritos in the salad. The saving grace was the BBQ Hot Wings, which tasted sumptuous.

I've never been disrespectful to any servers.Truth be know.I had 1 drink and Tipped Mia 20 dollars..If you felt I had to many drinks then fine..It would have been nice for You to have at least let me know why you wanted me to leave..I distinctly asked why You wanted me to go and You wouldn't say..I didn't think I had over indulged but never the less I did leave Without causing any scene.Quite frankly ,in my opinion,the wedding party that approached my outside,trying to score some coke seemed alot more out of control then myself..I respect the fact that you have the right to ask someone to leave your establishment but I don't feel it necessary for you to slander me because I only rated you 1 star..I didn't make any accusations about You or what I felt was unfair treatment of myself.To be quite honest,I didn't even want to reply to your accusations but when you accused me of treating the server with anything but respect.I felt it necessary..I as a new resident here,will stay clear of your establishment and also will my family,friends and future...

The owner is a serious day drunk that seems to justify her mico managing as her excuse. I'm embarrassed that this person admits assault on her customers but receives a paycheck from sylvanlake as a member of sylvanlake council. A representative of our community. She should focus on her family and business; Seeing as she cant handle it as she has admitted this herself in statements to police ect.I've had problems myself in this same establishment. She needs to be at work14 hrs a day. She should not be apart of sylvanlake council when she cant handle her own business.or her personal family life. Its no excuse to assault customers ever.You either can do your job or in her case lose it, and assault your customers.in sylvan. Unbelievable sylvanlake hasnt fired this person as a council member.
