Chief's Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Town of Sylvan Lake

We visit the lake today and decided to to and get a bite to eat and come up to the chiefs pub. At first we looked at the menu. That usually tells us how well a restaurant is ,by the items on the menu and if they was to many. (There was a man out side who said the food was good there.We got seated right away. He was more worried about his beer !! I assum he was the manager) The staff the helped us was super friendly lovely women. How ever after get got seated we sat for about 30-45 mins before someone brought us water and drinks and then took our order,by the time they took our food order it was about 50mins and then an hr to get our food. My hubby order a steak sandwich med rare, he got his steak and it was cooked to the point of it being to dry and hard to eat. I order the same thing but got told there was no more steaks left. I get it was busy! But you think they would take more care to knowing steak is gonna be a popular item they would have extra out. So any way we got our food my fries where way to salty a greeksalad was way bigger then there taco salad that we know cuz the guy behind us complained and the size difference and on top of that they charged him someone else bill!! Mean while Instead of being a leader and helping his team out, he, the manager, walked around with a beer. Then witness one of the Waitresses get upset with the dishwasher if that what the young boy was. The young boy asked if someone forgot their tray in the back the short wellrounded blonde grab the tray from his hand meanly and flung the tray at the bar across from a patron who thought the tray was gonna hit him and she gleared and the young like he did something wrong. I wouldnt go back nor would I recommend it to anyone. The two ladies that help us the greeter and the tattoo lady was amazing. After our order came out wrong not once but twice she accommodated us. So I thought that was nice of her. We usually don't complain just cuz we don't know how someone day or week is going. But we are paying for food that the manager recommend to us as soon as we walked up. So no thanks. Maybe have at sit down with staff and be a team leader and help out if it's busy or even greet the customers and see what needs to be looked at to make it a better place for service.The family to the right of us waited 2 hrs...

Hello, Me and my family of seven came to your pub on Saturday Aug 3rd. First off your pub says family friendly, but you don't have highchairs. Then we order our drinks and wait almost 45 minutes to get that. Once our drinks come we order our food. After another hour the waitress informs one of my family members that the dressing for the salad is sold out and was wondering if she would be ok with something else. After that we wait another 45 minutes and our food comes out. Then when I look at my chicken wrap, I asked for my mushrooms to be cooked and when I looked at mt wrap it came with mushroom but not cooked. The waitress took my meal from me, 15 minutes later my meal comes back to me with NO mushrooms at all and she informs me that the cooks told her that they didn't have time to cook the mushrooms, so now I get NO mushrooms at all, and my wrap wasn't even wrapped it fell apart so I could barely finish it. Now I am sorry but for your cooks to say that, when mushrooms only take about 3 minutes to cook is very sad. Now your manager said he cut the bill in half but yet we paid for over half for the bill and the half wasn't taken off. Also before leaving I used the restroom which was right by the kitchen and your cooks where standing around leaning on the counter talking up a storm. So I guess it wasn't that busy. That will be the first and last time I go here. And I do believe that the waitress forgot to put our meal in as the bar and the patio ere empty and it took almost 2 hours to...

If you like to sit at a pub and not eat or drink, this is the place for you! We walked in with our 3 year old and asked if minors were allowed and if we just sit first come first serve on the patio. We found an empty table, it was dirty, but the only one left, so that was no problem at all, we sat there. We sat there for 15 minutes before the table next to us left without being served. They said they had been there over 20 minutes. Then we saw another table complaining to the manager about being there for 30 minutes. Our server finally came, and made a joke about us sitting at a dirty table. She said she'd get something to wipe the table and menus, then ran away without at least asking us if we wanted a drink. She had walked past us multiple times. We waited another 5 minutes and then left. There were a couple other servers and it just seemed like they were just walking around. We should have known right away to leave when everyone looked grumpy and had no food and empty drinks.
