Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Town of Sylvan Lake

Just went through drive thru and ordered Carmel sundae and a strawberry cheesecake blizzard with extra cheesecake. Got home and realized there were 4 chunks of cheesecake after paying close to $5 for extra cheesecake!!! I called down to the Sylvan lake establishment and told the young, ignorant, female employee who answered the phone, and asked to at least get reimbursed the next time I come there. I was told there is nothing they could do about it and then hung up on.

This is NOT the first time I've had an issue with DQ Sylvan Lake. A month ago I went through drive thru and ordered a banana split blizzard and a oreo blizzard. I watched the employee turn the oreo blizzard upside down and didnt think anything of it when I wasnt shown the banana split blizzard up side down, until I started driving and has it literally all over my vehicle. I called down to complain and asked if they were going to help cover the cost of my vehicle needed to be detailed. I wasnt offered anything to make the situation better, or to make me a satisfied customer, after the fact. I was told by the employee 'sorry to hear about that but there is nothing we can do' and 'banana split blizzards are not included in the "UPSIDE DOWN OR ITS FREE" promo' It's very clear that DQ in Sylvan lake does not value their customers, nor do they care about customer satisfaction. They wont be getting another dime from me and I will be spreading the word to everyone, everywhere about the way they treat...

Would like to add this to my previous review. Thought i would try again and well this DQ has the worst food quality and snotty young female staff! I got a small pumpkin pie blizzard that had absolutely no flavour, stale crunchy cookies in it, was half melted and cost $7!!! Snotty drive thru staff handed over a filthy interac machine and when i suggested it could use a wipe down i got attitude and they did a quick upside down blizzard presentation which dripped all over the cup when they passed it to me and they quickly shut the drive thru window! Oh and i hope the owners don’t patronize this review with a similar canned “oh sorry to hear you had a bad experience” (see below and all other reviews) thinking this suffices as responding to customer complaints. I will never go to this DQ again and i’m sure it’s only tourists that keep this woman in business bc who would pay the ridiculous food prices for sub par quality food and service when i literally can go to Bamboo Hut, Mr Mikes, Fireside or any other dozen restaurants in town and get far superior food and service! Suggest this restaurant start responding to the poor reviews by ensuring food is up to franchise standards and staff that isn’t so snotty and bothered in serving you!

Over $7 for a PBP that has 5 pedantisk om it…literally i counted! Worth it to drive to costco instead even with gas and time!! If it shuts doen no one to blame except DQs...

Visited this location July 29/24 @ about 6:00pm. Zero stars. Am blown away. Now, I get that it's summer holidays, tourism town, family oriented. What we experienced tonight was nothing less than being in a busy hallway at lunch in a crowded highschool. "Kids will be kids". Agreed. This was bizarre and disturbing. The swearing, screaming, yelling, rough play etc took over the whole facility. Even staff behind the counter and line up area included. No manager or anyone over the age of 17 in sight. When we both got our orders, we decided to go eat in the car instead of staying. It was too much. They were encroaching on everyone in the place. Our food was made promptly. Burger patties were dry and tough. My buffalo chicken wrap had dry meat as well. I feel bad for the elderly lady who walked in with a boy about 8yrs old. This is strictly a teen hang out, not friendly or safe. Sewage odor right when you come in. Sadly the only DQ in Sylvan. I assume that could be a reason why an owner wouldn't care how it's being run or represented. Automated responses for reviews show there is no real concern of problems.
