Worst experience EVER! I had gone to the store and placed my order. I specifically said that I can't have any sugar or wheat. (Gluten) I was not aware that what I ordered, had CROUTONS, then I also had the girl try and tell me that sourdough and multigrain bread was gluten free!!!??? Um, am I being punked? She was actually serious!!!! I also told her that I liked a lot of dressing, and would've expected extra. It was BARELY saucy, and had croutons. (After I specifically said that I couldn't have gluten!) Common sense says, "If a customer tells me they can't have gluten, maybe I should tell them there are croutons?" Instead of assuming croutons are also gluten free! If your staff doesn't know what gluten is, perhaps they're in the wrong industry? And to pay that amount for a handful of salad, was the BIGGEST rip off I've ever experienced! (Especially since I couldn't eat half of it!) I could've enjoyed a full salad at the Olive Garden or a dine-in restaurant, for the same price!!! I'm glad I'm not Anaphylactic with gluten, or I'd be fighting for my life right now! When I tried calling to tell them, it went straight to voicemail multiple times, and said, "By the way, we don't check our voicemail."..... um..... then why have it??? I will NEVER go back to this location, and probably the restaurant altogether. It used to be the best, but is now the worst! Read moreI used to frequent this chopped leaf every day. For myself and my family. Literally every day. I'll admit, I was picky about asking the staff to pick through the lettuce for me to get the fresher stuff. I was a daily customer, and very appreciative to the staff doing this for me. If they were rushed or busy, I would be fine with whatever they gave me.
One day, I was told by the staff that I was no longer welcome, unless I paid an extra fee, on top of the standard price. The owner of the store set up cameras throughout the whole store, and could watch the staff work in real time. The owner watched the staff on cameras, and could see them spending an extra 5 - 10 minutes on my orders. Again, I say that if the staff were busy, I would just get what I got. They would only spend this time if they were not busy with other customers.
I was informed that the owner wanted me to pay a premium of $15 per salad for the staff to pick me out the fresher lettuce. (The crunchier kind.) This is on top of the roughly $50 a day I spent here.
