If I could give Pasta Polo 0 stars I would. The people working here are VERY discriminatory.
I came in with a coupon from the entertainment book for buy one get one free dinner entree. Only stipulation of this coupon was dine in only and not for use on a weekend. Since I was dining by myself, I decided I was going to eat a meal there and take one to go for my friends mom who is house bound. I was going to surprise her with a free meal.
So I ask for the meal I was going to eat to be put on a plate and then the other to go. The lady was hesitant but then said yeah, I don't see why that would be an issue. She proceeded to go to the kitchen to complain and trash talk me to the other staff. I could hear the entire conversation. "This coupon is for 2 people, she can't take it to go, she's dining alone"
You are an employee of the restaurant so does this really affect you at all? No. I'M STILL A PAYING CUSTOMER. I think she was mad that she wouldn't be getting a bigger tip that a table without a coupon would generate.
She then proceeds to come to my table and tell me that she can't do it to go and she will have to plate both. Not wanting to argue about it I said fine. She then goes back to the kitchen to complain to the other staff that these coupons should really specify that two people need to dine in.
Listen, the reason why the coupon DOES NOT say this is because putting that in writing would be discriminatory. If the coupon is not open to all people to use, then do not have a coupon.
The lady then packed up my food with the rudest look on her face and told me next time I can't do this.

They need more training on confrontational situations besides separating tables and understand people have disabilities. No one should be told because they have sensitive hearing and has non epileptic seizures that they shouldn't go out. I had that happen to here when I had two non epileptic seizures ontop of that with my autism I naturally have sensitive hearing. Ontop of that they didn't talk to that family. Read moreWe have consistently had a very poor experience with this restaurant every time we ordered. On one occasion, we were interested in the “create your own pasta” option. When we called, the staff member who answered (a young woman) suggested another pasta dish that included the exact same ingredients but at a lower price. We appreciated the suggestion and decided to order it.
However, every time we asked for extra sauce with our pasta, they ended up serving the driest pasta possible and lacking flavour. Despite repeating the same request multiple times, the outcome never changed.
Most recently, when we called again to order the same pasta that had been previously recommended, the same staff member answered and, surprisingly, mentioned that the kitchen had complained about why the client always asks for extra sauce. This was very unprofessional and unnecessary to tell a customer. Additionally, whenever we asked to add vegetables, she repeatedly placed us on hold to go ask the kitchen, which created a very frustrating ordering experience.
Overall, both the service and the food have been very disappointing. The lack of consistency, unwillingness to accommodate simple requests like extra sauce, and the unprofessional comments made us feel like our business was not valued.
