Damascus Pizza & Donair — Restaurant in Truro

Oh my. I also am not the type to complain, but I just finished....well i guess HAVE NOT finished my don air from Damascus, and I was starving. Luckily for Damascus my boyfriend is garbage compacter and can force down anything if he is starving and just got back from a days work. So he ate his although he said it tasted really bad way too sweet, and way too much sauce couldn't even taste anything on it other than sauce. We have ordered Don airs from this place many times and they were great, so when the delivery guy arrived I happily gave him the extra 2.50 or so that was left from the bills even though it left me broke , lol. So we called kinda sad we were giving up one of our favourite places to order Don airs so I all most hoped they would give us a coupon or something to maybe allow us to give it one more chance in the future.Unfortunately when we called, there wasn't anything said on their end except, "what was wrong with it?", the remainder was silence on their end. Ordered two Donairs by ''phone, came in 20m later, said my name - was handed a bag and brought it home. Wrong order!! instead of two donairs with no cheese, there was one donair with cheese. Called and talked to owner (who was the one who gave me the bag) to explain what had happened. He had nothing to say, except that he only charged me for one. He did not care at all. We don't like cheese on Donair.......and the meat was far to thick and chunky. Very poor customer service - and not that good a donair either......having scrapped off the...

It's a pizza joint so don't expect to sit there with your family to dine out. However my fiancé and I always eat in because we love the small pizza joint atmosphere.

The pizza is thin crust, hot when ordered and the sauce is sweet. I love it!

The donair is your old fashion kind, big chunks of meat, (not the hot kind but the sweet) with your favourite toppings all on a pita melded together in their sweet tangy sauce. It's the perfect donair!

Their burgers are awesome too!
