We arrived at Fletcher’s around 4:30 in the afternoon when things were quiet. We were seated right away and handed menus within moments. The service was friendly and impressively fast from the start.

Our order was taken promptly, and not long after, we were brought a fresh, warm roll with soft butter. It was a simple touch, but it really stood out—freshly baked, soft inside, and still warm.

Only about five minutes after that, the turkey dinner arrived. The plate was full—tender slices of turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, peas and carrots, and a side of coleslaw. Everything was hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. It tasted like a proper home-cooked meal.

We finished with a slice of coconut cream pie that was tall, creamy, and packed with fresh coconut, topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut. The portion was generous, and it was just as good as the dinner.

Start to finish, we were in and out by 5:00. Quick service, hot food, and a relaxing atmosphere. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. All for under $50. Thank you, Uncle Gerald..

Just stopping through on our way home from PEI. So glad we decided to go here! Such a great diner. The bathrooms were clean, staff were all amazing, service was fast, prices were reasonable, and most of all, the food was absolutely delicious! We all wanted a Sunday dinner, “home-cooked” type meal. We went with Turkey dinners, Sirloin steak dinner, and a Clubhouse with fries. All reasonably priced around $17, with the steak(6oz. Sirloin) being $23. We all scoffed our food down it was that good! Everything is home-cooked there! They roast a whole turkey everyday, so it’s fresh, and the gravy is heavenly. All dinners came with a roll & butter on the side. Veggies with the meals were peas and carrots and they were actual peeled and chunked, cooked carrots and not just mixed frozen veg from a bag! The turkey dinners came with homemade stuffing and cranberry. The clubhouse was piled high with turkey. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and that’s exactly how it came out! It was so tender and flavourful! We all wanted to lick our plates! This place is an absolute must if you’re in the Truro area. Not far off...

we were just passing through and decided to stop for a bite to eat. I ordered fish and chips and my husband ordered the boss burger (meat and cheese only)with kettle chips ( they were not fully cooked) and 2 milkshakes ( 1 strawberry and 1 vanilla). when our meal came my husband's Burger had onions ,mushrooms ,lettuce & tomato on it all the stuff he specifically said he didn't want, my fish tasted a little off( hubby ate it). when we spoke to the waitress about the burger being wrong she said Oh I thought you were only joking! no when we are giving our order and we say only meat and cheese that's what we mean only meat and cheese. both of our milkshake containers are dirty they had chocolate all around the rims as you can see in the photos. .upon getting home i was sick and diarrhea( as i said fish tasted off) & only meal I have eaten today.we will definitely not return to this...
