Our first visit was great! The cafe is very clean, has a great atmosphere and comfortable couches and armchairs near the panoramic window. The owner who worked that day was very friendly, helpful and pleasant to talk to. We ordered a tiramisu, a berry danish, and a classic and matcha lattes. Everything tasted great! Danish had the perfect level of sweetness and flakiness - it didn't crumble on the first touch, but still melted in your mouth, the amount of the filling was just right - enough to give a creamy texture, but not too much to make a mess. The tiramisu was packed in a plastic see-through cube, to show the layers and had just right amount of moisture. It's hard to make a good tiramisu, and not to make a sluggish or dry mess of it, but they nailed the recipe in the Art Bite Cafe. The desert was served with seasonal festive cutlery that looked very cute and was pleasant to the touch. I really regret not taking photos but I was so hungry I could not think straight đ
Both desserts were very fulfilling, which is great , because danish was the first dish I ate that day. Also the amount of sugar did not make me jittery, which is super rare for north America. This place is truly a hidden gem đ The place is quiet, and not very busy. This morning there was only one other person in the cafe, so it felt kinda luxurious to have almost a whole place to ourselves â¤ď¸ They also have a loyalty program - you get stickers for every hot drink and every pastry to get a 10th free medium hot drink and a 50% off the croissant after purchasing 9...
Read moreAll I can say is WOW! I have been living a block away from this spot for 5 years and over this time there has been three coffee shops open and close / change owner, all of which in my opinion didnt ever have a good product as a coffee shop.
Art Bite Cafe (open now I think close to a year) has been a breath of fresh air after the other failed coffee shops. Everything is home baked in house. I had a french pastery which was as good as anywhere in town. I love my coffee so I was interested to try their latte. I was impressed with the flovor and the latte art pouring of the milk.
My Experiences from visiting the old closed coffee shops in same location before this one opened: I tried each one at least once for a coffee and a pasterie but left feeling frustrated each time. This was usually down to the cafe's opening times, the higher than average cost per item or just poor products. For the poor products I remember the marcrons all tasted like the same vanilla flavor even though they had different colors and flavor names. I hate when a coffee shop doesnt open until 9am for example as I'm long gone from the area for my morning coffee at this point. I also like when they...
