Updated March 2024

Thank-you to Morgan and the entire Autostrada team for making our recent dinning experience truly awesome.

Autostrada offers an extraordinary culinary experience w impeccable service. From the moment guests enter, they're welcomed into a sophisticated yet warm ambiance.

The chef surpasses expectations with each dish, meticulously crafted using fresh ingredients and innovative twists.

What truly sets Autostrada apart is the unparalleled service. The professional and genuinely warm staff makes guests feel cherished. From knowledgeable sommeliers guiding through unique wine selections to attentive servers anticipating every need, the level of hospitality is truly extraordinary.

Autostrada offers more than just a meal; it's an experience where culinary mastery meets impeccable service, creating warm memories. Whether celebrating a special occasion or seeking an extraordinary dining experience, Autostrada epitomizes excellence in every sense.

Experience in Feb 2024

My latest dining experience at Autostrada was a bit of a mixed bag, particularly when comparing it to previous visits. Let's start with the positives: the service continues to be an absolute highlight. The staff at Autostrada are exemplary, offering attentive, friendly, and swift service that truly sets a high standard. It's this consistency in exceptional service that keeps me coming back, despite any hiccups in the food quality. Speaking of the food, it's here that my recent experience didn't quite measure up to the past. While Autostrada has always been a reliable spot for delicious meals, this time, the dishes didn't hit the same high notes. They weren't bad by any means, but the flavors, presentation, and overall execution seemed a notch below what I've come to expect. It's a reminder that even the best places can have off days, and it's not enough to deter me from returning. In sum, while the food didn't quite live up to my lofty expectations based on previous visits, the outstanding service did much to mitigate my slight disappointment. Autostrada remains a solid choice for dining, thanks to its team's dedication to providing a great customer experience. I'm hopeful that my next visit will see a return to the high standards of culinary excellence I know they're capable of. Let's see what happens next time, hopefully back to 5 stars!!!!

Summer 2023

An Unforgettable Feast, Exceptional Food, Stellar Service!

Autostrada blew us away with their amazing family-style meal! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The atmosphere was classy yet cozy, creating the perfect setting for a "date night" for my wife and me.

Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish was a flavor explosion! The chefs' talent and creativity were evident in every bite. Fresh ingredients and incredible flavors made each course a culinary delight.

But it wasn't just the food that impressed us. The service was exceptional! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and super attentive. Hannah made us feel like VIPs, ensuring our glasses were always full and accommodating our every need.

Autostrada's is a must-try. It's perfect for special occasions or when you want to treat yourself to an extraordinary dining experience. Trust me, you won't be disappointed, and be sure to arrive hungry. Get ready to indulge and be pampered – it's an experience you'll cherish!

To top it all, the kitchen staff accommodated my gluten free requirements without compromising the family style menu. I find this to be a rare attribute for a...

The search for amazing pasta stopped here because Autostrada pasta has PERFECTLY delicious pasta. As usual, the daily specials are something that I always love to eat, because I trust that the chefs know what they want to make and what they are willing to try to put out there. And tbh that is exactly what we ordered the other night when I was there.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the first thing I smelled that was GUSHING from the restaurant was the butter. I loved it so much, you know you are at the perfect place for pasta when butter was the first thing you smelled.

The vibe of the restaurant really give me Yaletown, downtown, and granted it is where it is located especially with SO MANY WINDOWS that literally spreads across the restaurant. On top of that, the typical Vancouver downtown audience visits this establishment on the daily with the Yaletown botox clientele and the gentlemen who wears glasses indoors. Yup, no surprise there at all. But I do love the atmosphere of the corner booth seats with multiple families eating style, so they at least kept that close to their chests. Yay.

The server Katie was slaying the house down with her fit that night. Bright green pants with a very cute top and her PINK NAILS are everything. I love a trendy server who can slay the house down! She was very knowledgeable about the menu as well, and answered all my questions, and she has a good vibe and extremely attentive to the table as well. Love that for her.

We ordered the daily Ripena for the night, daily stuffed pasta, which was kind of a mezza luna beef ripena, and the sauce was a very condensed chicken broth with tons of butter to it. My god, it was delicious. To top it all off, it was cooked PERFECTLY AL DENTE!!! YES! I AM SO HAPPY. Another place that cooks their pasta al dente, with a VERY good bite to it and I was just happy. The other pasta we ordered was the daily Fusilini with a tomato based sauce with spicy sausages. The tomato sauce was filled right into the nooks and crannys of the fusilini and on top of that the umami flavour was just BURSTING with each bite. It was perfectly cooked and extremely delicious! I was so happy at the end of eating BOTH dishes and extremely satisfied. I will be back soon this summer for more perfectly cooked pasta.

And do recommend this place for sure as the go to for pasta from...

We thought the place looked good when we walked by, we were interested in checking this place out as a potential spot to treat a couple of friends. There were only 3 tables when we arrived, but the space was already bouncing off sounds like crazy. It was because the music was cranked up and everyone had to shout, so that's obviously not going to work. We ordered a couple of starters, a salad and two main course. Burrata Prosciutto – the prosciutto was delicious, sliced thin enough so that it melted in my mouth, it was tasty but not salty. The burrata was enjoyable, but we've had better. My partner wanted to try the Vitello Tonnato – sous vide and then shaved veal served cold. The veal slices are quite a bit thicker than the prosciutto, I enjoyed the tuna sauce very much, my partner didn't. All this good food, we didn't have decent focaccia – it was more like day old french loaf from Urban Fare. Disappointing. Had I known, I would have smuggled some of my favourite Pastaggio sour dough focaccia to enjoy with our appetizers. The salad dressing was good, the chef was kind enough to customize a lemon vinaigrette without garlic for me, however, the leaves tasted like extra robust hot house salad grown in Edmonton. I would have preferred living red butter lettuce from The Local Farm in Ladner. For the mains, we ordered fresh halibut with cannellini beans and The Mezzo Pollo. I don't usually order chicken, but had been craving a decent roast chicken. It was very enjoyable. Half a chicken is a lot, so I saved most the breast pieces for chicken sandwiches the next day. The skin is noticeably awesome unlike roast chickens from supermarkets with wrinkly dried up skin, this half chicken had succulent juicy and very tasty skin. The meat was so tender it could pass for sous vide. Would we come here again, absolutely, but probably not with our friends as we would have to...

Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday. Lots of tables available for happy hour. We had the duck liver and the anchovy on focaccia. The duck liver was my favorite. It was creamy and was had strong flavours. The crostini had too many holes in it for me to be able to slather on more liver but it was very crispy and went well with it. I would order this again The anchovy on focaccia was refreshingly sour. It balanced the other dish well but I wouldn't order it again as I want to try other things on their menu. As for drinks we had the negroni and the limone spritz. Limone spritz was not my cup of tea. The negroni was nice and strong. Wouldn't get these next time. Tiramisu was good. Not too sweet. Very creamy and had a slight alcohol bitter flavour which balanced it well Overall I would definitely come back for happy hour food to try their other menu items. The service is fast and friendly
